  1. Hey how are you? Is this battery coding for cayenne turbo's a real issue? I have read differing opinions, where some people say its not required..I am having some issues and the dealer insists that its because I have an aftermarket battery which is not coded for the car, and they want me to install an OEM battery and recode it. My trusted and regular indy Porsche shop cannot pinpoint the issue with my car, however he doesn't think the battery coding is necessary. I trust him, but need to get my car sorted...already replaced ignition switch and brake switch, was thinking about the battery relay. I don't want to spend big bucks on a "Porsche" battery from stealership if its a "scam"..thanks in advance. Sincerely, Dylan
  2. If anyone could please help me out with diy for replacing SAI check valves on 04 cayenne turbo, it would greatly be appreciated. Cheers Dylan
  3. Logray you are awesome Thanks! Would you say I could go ahead with an IMS upgrade then? Cheers!
  4. Yes logray Although I thought the " 7" could possibly be a "/ " as well ?? I also see M96/01 66W 07551 AT Thanks for your help!

  6. Thanks for all the help guys! I was looking at doing An IMS update as a preventative measure but wanted to make sure my engine didn't already have a similar update..
  7. Ok Is that a good thing.. Like maybe engine will be more reliable? Any known issues corrected at time of replacement I hope..
  8. My engine serial number indicates MY98..is this normal on a MY99 Carrera? Also, there is "AI" after the number "551" right at the end of the serial number..any idea what "AI" indicates? Thanks
