  1. Hi could you send the youtube link to the cigar power solution .  Thanks Simon

  2. Can the rear washer jet be adjusted to spray and cover more of the glass. Mine hits quite low down so the edge of the wiper get no fluid at all. Thanks Simon
  3. I just bought an early 09 C2S cab 2 weeks ago, which I think is in superb condition with 85k KMs. Took it to local Porsche Center in Dubai for the 6 year clutch fluid change, they charged me AED 1306 ($355). They used 000 043 305 13 (6 litres) Transmission oil. The short drive home seemed to be much more responsive. Simon
  4. The non Bose sound system in my recently aquired 2009 997.2 C2S is pretty poor. At a decent volume to hear the music (not overly loud or thumping) with the roof down I get vibration, distortion and low end "rattling" from both front and rear speakers. When taking a phone call the results are the same. Just how many speakers are installed in my car - are there any specific units (bass, tweeters) units to identify? Could anybody share information about the way to access the speakers (how to remove panels etc) so I can first check if there is anything physically wrong with the equipment (loose, damage etc) Then could anybody share experience in replacing the stock speakers with something more suitable. I want to retain the head unit so would installing an amplifier in conjunction with new speakers help? Any and all info is gratefully appreciated. Thanks Simon
  5. Ok- face redder than a red thing who was looking at a red sun all day - the gauge I was looking at was the oil temp gauge - Dohhh. So then the question becomes - how long before the oil comes to normal temp with "normal driving" Thanks Simon
  6. Just bought a C2S with 85k KMs in Dubai. took it out this morning and the water temp gauge seemed to take an age before moving off the bottom stop (60) before settling at 90. Ambient temp was about 21 Deg C. Is this normal behavior for this car? It seemed unusual for the water to take so long to register on the gauge. Coolant level looks fine, no other indications. Thanks Simon
  7. Good to know - thank you. Can you provide the part number for the antenna and the cost please Thanks, Simon
  8. You may be right - and yes - if that is the case then fully agree. Not that it helps - but there is a guy here in Dubai that will redo for AED 100 per button. Cost of shipping may be prohibitive though.
  9. found this on ebay in Germany http://www.ebay.de/itm/Porsche-Cayenne-955-Airbag-Lenkrad-tasten-schalter-restaurations-handy-radio-/371282007129?pt=DE_Autoteile&hash=item567221d459
  10. Thanks - good to know it is not unusual - though I live in Dubai so engine temp is rarely "low". I am visiting your way in late April - Virginia Beach - hope the wether will be fine there too. Thanks Simon
  11. echo most of the replies - had bad vibe on idle when I got my car - two indies both said engine mounts. Had them replaced - smooth as a smooth thing on a smooth day now
  12. Hi, I understand that starting in D1 would happen when PSM is off and at low temperature. What sort of temperature is considered low? My 06 Cayenne has started in D1 for the last 3 mornings - outside temp was about 18DegC - 65DegF - so assume this is not a low temp. What else would cause the car to start in D1? Thanks Simon
  13. No luck so far on my side - if anybody is near or on good terms with a dismantler I really would appreciate help to source one. Suspect it will need to come from a deployed AirBag that would be scrapped. Thanks in advance Simon
  14. Does this help? http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Porsche-Cayenne/12-BRAKES_Parking_Brake_Adjustment/12-BRAKES_Parking_Brake_Adjustment.htm
  15. Ddo cars still have drum brakes? I assumed they were only fitted to low spec, non performance models. BobbyS - try cycling the parking brake on and off a few times it may need to find its point to hold. Cheers
