  1. All sport exhaust aren't set this way ... mine is quiet when desactivated and loud once button pushed and vaccum ON ;) If you reverse the check valve the switch will work as you describe. But from the factory no vacuum equals loud. So if you were to just put the mufflers on the car with no electronics the exhaust is always loud (that is how it is on my car). I'm not talking about PSE but I have a SCART on mine (I just fitted it last week end) and I can assure you that : - out of the car valve is closed - in the car without any electrical wire plugged : valve is closed - in the car with electrical plugged in and vaccum activated : valve is open I has been bought brand new and this is the way SCART designed their system. Pretty clever as if the valves are encountering an issue => you ride in quiet mode ;) For PSE (and most of the aftermarket sport exhaust) you are right valve are open when not activated ;)
