  1. Trying to connect ground wire to door light switch from underneah the dash. Anybody have an idea how to route the wire without taking the fender off?
  2. Thanks,Sounds like I need to go to the dealer and have that done.
  3. Thanks. The memory settings I am concerned about are the Light Menu (Day run.lights or not), Fade out time for lights, Orientation light settings, Rain sensor for wipers,Climate ctrl.mem, Door opener, Auto lock, or you can set them to Factory setting. This is all done through the PCM. Remove the PCM and you don't have those controls any more.
  4. Am thinking of replacing my PCM in my 2006 911S with a new Head Unit (Pioneer or Kenwood). What happens to my Individual Memory settings? Will they revert to a Default setting? and never to be changed again?
  5. I was trying to get a second key for my 2006 997, but locksmith told me only Porsche can program the keys. Even tried to get a used one reprogrammed by Porsche dealer, but it did not work. Only way is to buy a new key/transponder and let dealer do their expensive magic.
  6. 1984 3.2 Carrera engine. After turning the ignition switch on (without starting), will the fuel pump shut off after fuelsystem is pressurized or will it continue to run?
  7. We are pretty sure it is a 1984 3.2 because of the Fuel injection system. Evidently the fan housing came from 1980 3,0. The only question we haven't answered yet, what kind of alternator is it using. Probably have to dismantle it. The charging rate is 20V at 4000 rpm. It is either the alternator or the old voltage regulator that is still in the car tht is causing that.
  8. The engine type stamped on the block says 930/21. Research shows engine type for the 1980 911 with that number as 930/07. So, what does that mean?
  9. Just purchased 1978 991 SC Targa. VIN # 9118211984 which shows as a California Targa. However, we think the engine is a later 3.2 ltr. Just not sure what year. Engine # is 64003831 - think it is a 1984. Can anybody help?
  10. Colgan was the original bra manufacturer for Porsche. They still make them. Just bought one for my 2006 911. \

  12. Can anybody tell me how the C2S gets this exhaust sound in sport mode? I saw some pictures that had a vacuum activated valve on the exhaust pipe. If that's all it takes to get the great sound, why not lock the valve in the open position? Then you wouldn't have to turn on sport mode and wouldn't have to have the exhaust modified?
