  1. They are fussy with bad electrical. Make certain the terminals are clean and tight on the battery. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Paste this into a browser and replace the numbers after the = with your vin https://admin.porschedealer.com/reports/build_sheets/print.php?vin=WP0AA299X5S717399
  3. Sometimes the location/source of noise is hard to identify from inside the vehicle so perhaps it's the notorious cardan shaft ? Might sound like it's coming from the front...
  4. Or you can dress your current one with better inserts. See last image of cayenne choices, they make for non-turbo http://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/181966089369
  5. Ebay occasionally has a turbo cluster. It is possible to retrofit if your immobilizer is not part of the cluster (like 04's and not certain on 06). May require a reprogram with durametric and odometer is locked so that adds a little glitch when resale as may need to list as miles Unknown.
  6. Also check the rail sled bolts for tightness. If they have loosened (and will) the whole assembly moves up and down and won't register with metal surround/create gaps.
  7. My '04 CTT 955 definitely had an accelerator lag and would power spike all at once with the turbo. I researched and came across Vivid Racing and their ECU flash - it was DIY - you buy the cable and they email you the mod file after you upload your record of the ecu program. It's all done thru the odb reader and takes a PC laptop. Goes quickly - no techs or special skills needed. I can concur with many in this thread that now that she's flashed, throttle response is way faster and the turbo is much more controlled and smooth as accelerate. Like an entirely different truck. 8. Great thread! I can confirm that the replacement of the other relay does in fact bring the backlighting at the analog dials back to life!! Thank you for the wonderful write up and link for replacement relay!!
