  1. Hi everyone ! So, I finally founded my noisy problem. It's crazy, but I did it, with your help ! http://www.rosepassion.com/fr/cat/porsche-boxster-986-2000-boxster-s-3-2-cabrio-boite-manuelle-6-vitesses/M484/moteur-et-alimentation-essence/refroidissement-moteur/B82/tuyau-eau-partie-1/I619/support/P57062 This piece was just broken........ and makes, every days, the famous cricket noise...! THANK YOU !
  2. You are right, the most prominent noise is between 1:30 to 1:40. I'm fed up about this noise... I can't drive peacefully :( I always think if I can go back home, when I'm driving... it's terrible... No check engine light, no power loss, just this crazy cricket..! My new spark plugs are coming by postal way, I hope it will fix it .. Do not hesitate to share my video, with everybody you think, I hope that another person already had this cricket one time, on a Porsche or another car brand, and found the way to eradicate it ! Thank you Ahsai for your help ;)
  3. Re, Sorry about my double post ; I made a new video without wind : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_6O1GMDSVg&feature=youtu.be Please, help me
  4. I already did it... After the belt removed, the noise was audible (only when the engine is hot/warm)... never at cold start... I also removed every heat shields and put a special thermal braid (from racing competition) - it was a good idea, but... nothing changed... Do you have another idea ??
  5. Hum... You can hear the real cricket noise between 0:22 to 0:35... everything is normal before and after...
  6. Oh, It's really interesting ! I'm going to check mine, tomorrow... Hum... can you explain me how this noise can be made by the purge valve ?
  7. Ok, i'm going to buy and use it. If you have any more idea, please, do not hesitate ;)
  8. Hi ! So ... I have a problem with my 986 S (2000). The pitched noise is like an angry cricket, really noisy, inside and outside the car, occuring sometimes between 680-2800 rpm (and never when > 3000 rpm). This last one is totally independent from the running engine (like : grik... griiiik grik... griiiiiiiik.... grik... grik............ grik..... stop during few seconds, and continue). My IMS seems good, because I didn't find any plastic or metal piece captured inside the oil filter. I don't have any fault code with my Durametric (V3). I recently removed the accessory belt and the noise was audible. I also checked the clutch, my spark plug... everything is ok. My car works like a normal Porsche, but with this noise... How can I separate the provenance of the noise between the ... ...Chain tensioner ? ...Gearbox ? ...Secondary air pump ? ...Separator air/oil ? ...Worn chain guide ? I think that it's a real big challenge for you, because nobody was able to tell me what I have to change to fix it... I also have a vidéo with the noise : Please, help me... I'm looking for a solution from 6 months..
