I replaced the CDR23 HU with one of those Chinese (Seicane Android) unit. When I put the key in the ignition, the controls on steering wheel work fine, but when I start the engine, the controls don’t work. Also, I noticed that if I wait to start the engine (say 10+ seconds) after putting the key in the ignition, there is no sound from the Bose amp, but if I start it right away, it works. I also hear that thump sound from the amp when I remove the key from the ignition. The MOST adapter (in turn, the amp) wiring is getting power from the Canbus adapter. It is switched, meaning, it will not work unless there is a key in the ignition. Does it have to be unswtiched power connection? If so, any reason why? And could this tapping power from the canbus adapter in parallel causing the steering wheel controls to not work when engine is running? Sorry, I am not an electrical engineer, so some of these questions may sound stupid. Any suggestions, besides suggesting to replace the sh!tty Bose amp?:) -
Hi, I've recently obtained a Bose rear subwoofer deck for my 03 986 Boxster and like to get feedback as to the easiest way to connect to my CDR-23 with Haes 6chan amp (with MOST). Anyone done this, can it be done? Help much appreciate.

Hi everyone, I have a 2003 C4S, I bought a Ebay kit, but have a MOST system, but non bose. CAn anyone provide me with some instructions on how to do an amp bypass? I don't nkow where the amp is, and does anyone have a wiring diagram of the amp? How to feed the wires to the amp from the head unit? thanks, Ben -
Hi. My Bose amp is bad on my '06 Cayenne S w/ navigation, so I'm going to go ahead and upgrade the head unit to a Pioneer AVIC-1040 and go to an aftermarket amp. I searched the forums, but couldn't find this posted (though I'm guessing it has before). Any recommendations for an amp and how many channels (5?)? What's the best way to group the factory speakers into the amp channels? What's the best way to retain the steering wheel controls?thanks in advance,Kevin -
Hi everyone, So I have been doing some research before I attempt to install my own radio. I have a 2003 C4S with a MOST system, but non bose. So I have to install 4 wires from the head unit to by pass the amp in the trunk. I can not seem to find a good way to enter the trunk. I have attached some picture, and here is where the harness and optical cable enters the trunk. It looks very tight, how do I put more wires through the gromet? Should I drill the gromet? The red arrow is where the tunnel through the firewall is. Please advise! Thanks !
