I can't find anything on the site on how to remove a glove box on a Boxster 987 - only a 997 (not sure if they are the same?). I need to run my ipod cable from from the trunk into the glove box and want to take the glove box out to route the wires. Can anyone give me advice on how to do this? Many thanks

2002 911 C2 Cab.......The handle of the glovebox broke off. I have all necessary parts to repair the complete handle. The glove box door liner needs to be removed in order to remove the broke latch held on by two screws. I have removed the screws holding the inside glove box liner that was secured by 11 screws. I now need to remove the left and right side sliding door holders/closers (for lack of the correct term). When this is done I will be able to remove the broken latch and attach the new part and reinstall the liner. Any ideas on how to remove the two supports that hold the door in an open position and retract to close the door? Incidentally, my local Porsche dealer wants 180.00 to install the part for what should be a 10 minute job. The new part cost me 143.00 with the PCA discount. Thank you for your help.

Recently I developed a glovebox light issue on my boxster 987 s I Attempted to replace glove box light with led and now it doesn't work at all, even with the standard bulb is put back that worked before, nothing. Attempted to swap with the footwell bulb and light housing, nothing Following this when locking the car the horn would sound So ... I Replaced the cable attached to the bulb holder part 99761265100 (glove box wiring harness). This includes a small metal switch that is pushed into a holder at the back of the glovebox This solved half of the problem, The car horn no longer sounds when locking However the light in the glovebox still is not working Swapped it again with the working footwell light and still nothing All of the other lights I replaced work perfectly. As I am aware there is no fuse for this bulb So how is it fixed. Even porsche themselves are confused????

I was in the process of fixing the high pitched squeal of my AC blower motor and found a black box attached to the back of the glove box. It carries the Porsche part number : 955.610.107.02. The word "gateway" intrigued me and am just curious as to what this is. It was found on my 2006 Cayenne S. Thanks
