7 to 4 pin trailer light adapter for 2013 Cayenne diesel. Also, is there a Porsche ball and ball mount? If not, any idea on recommended 'drop' for the mount?

Hi Porsche Gurus I’m trying to troubleshoot a little issue I have that just my drivers door courtesy lights (and drivers sunvisor light but not sure if that’s different issue) don’t work, both the red and white ones and only the one door(rhd car) now ive checked the common things like all the fuses and the wiring to see if they were damaged or corroded but they seem fine, The one thing I would like to check but can not find any info on is where or what is the switch or sensor that tells the lights that the door is open to turn the lights on? If I can find that then that will at least eliminate all manual fixes that I can think of unless any of you have come across this before, if it’s something simple and I look like a fool for not thinking of it then I’m happy to be a fool as long as the lights work:) any help would be much appreciated thanks Stevie G -
I was checking / fixing fuses, pulling them and putting new that kind of stuff and now my windows do not open and the front light are always on! The fuses are ok but I am wondering if by playing around maybe i messed up a relay or something! I tried to fix the fuses to what they should be, in the past the car ( used ) had fuses too big for what the chart called for, so for example i replaced a 30 for a 10 if a 10 was the one needed etc. -
hi all, first time post here, thanks in advance for any advice, especially loren! i've got a 1996 993tt with interior lights that did not turn on when hood or doors opened. i discovered that my ground wire to the alarm control unit (acu) was bad. so i tried a parallel ground wire from the interior light switch (br/ws wire) to the acu. please note that my alarm arms normally with single flashes when i normally lock the car. also, the door switches and hood microswitches are working in that the door buzzer sounds when i've got the key in ignition and open either door or the hood. here's where it get weird. with the new ground wire in place: 1. if the doors are locked, and the lights are off, then the fob DOES turn on the lights. 2. if the doors are unlocked, and the lights are on, nothing will turn off the lights, not the fob, key in ignition (in position 0, 1, or 2), nor opening/closing doors. 3. if the doors are unlocked and i open the door or hood, the lights will NOT turn on. to me this could indicate: 1. the ground to the acu from the door switches is bad, or 2. an acu relay between the door switch ground and the interior lights is stuck in the off position. neither of these explains why the fob can turn on the lights, but not turn it off. does this look like a bad acu module? if so, is it repairable? also note that my acu p/n is 928618260-02, which represents the early generation of the acu's, later superseded by p/n xxxxxxxxx-03 thanks,

Only the driver side door lights are working, when the door is open, tested all doors bulbs and they are fine. Any help would be appreciated, many thanks.

Hello, I am a new Porsche owner (2005 911 TT S Cab, Cobalt blue with 25+k miles), and was looking for tail light units (not the LED bulb replacements) which have built in LED, but the ones that I have seen in Ebay, even though they are listed for this model, only fit a 997 chassis upon inquiry. Does anyone have any suggestions? The next question is prety embarrassing because I consider myself a careful owner and have read all manuals of all cars I own, but I just read the owner's manuals (the Turbo manual and the PCM stand alone manual), even one for a 911 Carrera, and they either are silent (or of course I have missed it), or refer me to the trunk compartment to load the navigation DVD which came with the car (one for the whole US and I am in South Florida?) but I cannot find a drive/reader except the one in the PCM itself which does not appear to work. Any comments? Do I have to dig in the trunk trimmings till I find it? Finally, is there any whay, other than changing the PCM factory unit (which I do not want to do since I try to keep all of my cars factory), to install an IPOD and/or a phone? In the Ferrari 360 if you disable the CD changer, you can connect an IPOD adapter and play the IPOD through the CD changer connection of the Becker radio. No phone. I have started a thread on 6Speed to get a feel for who is interested in rear LEDs for the wide-body 996. Currently there are absolutely no vendors who produce a light that will fit. Sure, you can get rear LEDs for every other model 996, 997 and 20 different other cars, but Nada for us. I found a manufacturer who is willing to produce them (they already make LEDs for a bunch of other models) but we need to have 250 commitments in place at $600 per pair for them to do it. So far we have 82 on 6Speed, but we are not getting the numbers fast enough. So, I'm expanding the search to get people from as many forums as I can find. For clarity, I'm trying to collect the numbers all in one place. Hello all I just joined this forum something i should have done ages ago. I drive a 2003 996 Carrera 2 Tiptronic with a lot of extras incl the Porsche Sports exhaust and suspension. I want to retrofit the footwell lights in my car, does anyone know what is needed , any related posts and any info on retrofitting these either DIY or at a dealer . I think they come as standard on the turbo 996 and i guess it cant be such a big job to do ... My car already has the dimming mirror , rain sensor i think i read somewhere this footwell wiring links to the relay for these or something any help will be greatly appreciated . I am a big Porshce enthusiast , also ride a Porsche bike and will be posting some pics of my ride etc once i get round this forum and thanks in advance for any advice/tips /links etc etc
