  1. I have a 2011 Panamera Turbo that has had the OEM PCM 3.1 Bluetooth system functional since day one. It worked fine until last week while I was in my car with my phone connected to my car PCM via Bluetooth and I happen to have another headphone device connect to my phone and it somehow made my PCM malfunction once I got an incoming call and now my car thinks that it does not have a Bluetooth module in the car? Any suggestions or recommendations are welcome. I have already taken it to my local Porsche dealer and they recommended to replace the whole PCM which in my book is an odd recommendation and not a solution. I would like to activate my Bluetooth service as it seems it might be a recoding scenario in the pictures i posted shows how clicking on "Activate Bluetooth " does nothing and says in a blue font bellow the screen that the "function not available"
  2. I have an intermittent static issue. It seems to originate from my center speaker near the clock on my dashboard. When the suspension is lowered it it more prevalent but it also happens before I even start my car. There could be weeks between hearing it and other times it will go on for hours. I suspect I have a loose wire in the amplifier? Is this an issue anyone else has ran into?
  3. Greetings all... Over in the Cayenne section there is a post about the PCM System error: UNKNOWN UNKNOWN UNKNOWN UNKNOWN UNKNOWN UNKNOWN UNKNOWN when starting the system up... no ultimate resolution but the consensus for the cause is a break in the line... I have a 2004 Turbo Cab and installed a MoBridge system and have had ZERO issues. My Parents have a 2004 Turbo Cab where the previous owner went cheap with either the Nav-Tv adapter, the installation, or BOTH (But when you get an otherwise pristine Turbo Cab with 28,000 miles for $42K, you don't nickel and dime). The installer unplugged the CD changer and pulled the plug off of the fiber optic wires (that plugged into the changer) using a line break splice to plug the two wires together instead of plugging in a loop per the NAV-TV instructions. I bought both male and female loops so that I could put the vehicle cables into a new plug and install the other plug with the loop. Since the issue isn't resolved (but the audio works so this has to be the "break") I have to assume it isn't getting a good connection. Upon closer examination, the fiber optic cable ends on the loops are gold metal and shorter than the plastic ends in the car loop. This end difference prevents the plastic ends from seating far enough into the plug to make a good connection. Any advice on how to either replace the ends, or a part number for the original Porsche plug that I could match with a different loop? I am thinking that Porsche probably have a plug that goes into the CD Changer MOST connector for vehicles that don't have the changer installed...Thanks!!
  4. Hey guys and gals I have a 2010 Porsche Cayenne base and I’m having trouble connecting my IPhone 6S Plus to my PCM running software version 1.47. Now I know that Apple phones don’t accept the sim access profile, but I can’t figure out how to switch the PCM over to Hands free profile. I went to my local Porsche dealer here in Tucson, AZ today and I told them that I had read online that they should be able to switch my PCM from SAP to HFP, but after 1 1/2 hours of trying they said that the couldn’t find how to switch it over. Any suggestions? Can it be changed using a durametric? Should I talk to another dealer in Phoenix? Any suggestion or insight will help. Thanks in advance.
  5. I replced the CDR23 with Seicane Android HU. It comes with Canbus adapter and I purchaed MOST adapter with it to make it work with factory Bose amp. The unit powers up fine, but the MOST adapter needs to have power to work. Any suggestion where can I connect the three wires listed in the pic to? I assume the main socket that was connected to the CDR23 has power, but don’t know which wire is which. How easy would it be to get power from lighter adapter aux? I am planning to replace that lighter adapter with USB port for the HU as well. Thanks
  6. Can someone validate whether or not the dealer ACTUALLY has to install the PCM 3.0 Nav Update? Unless there is some voodoo that they have to do with the PIWIS, why do they need 2 hrs of labor to insert a disc and press "enter" a few times?? Seems a waste if you can read directions... Thanks for any help.
  7. I recently had a dead battery in my 2007 Boxster with PCM (no bose). Once the car charged everything seemed fine. The Navigator and CD work perfectly. However, the radio will only pick up stations when it is in accessory mode. Here is how it goes: Car running - no reception; turn off motor; 1-4-8 reboot; radio works fine. Turn on motor - 4 seconds later the radio no longer picks up stations (static). However SOMETIMES one station will come it. I did the MAIN-TRIP diagnostics and it showed ! PCM; ! SOFTWARE; Ck Navigator. I took it into the shop today and they ran some diagnostics and said that it showed nothing wrong. The dealer said that I would have to get a replacement PCM and then quoted a price in 4K range. Has anybody seen this type of problem before, and if so is there a solution? Also if I have to replace the PCM are there less costly options than 4K. Thanks for any suggestions in advance.
  8. hi guys, i'm having a bit of an issue with my cayenne 04 pcm unit. when i switch to the ignition the pcm doesnt wake up or switch off with the key , but if i press the power button on the pcm, it will come on but only for 15 minutes then it switches off. i have also noticed that the steering controls don't work ever. i have just checked all the fuses they are all ok. i have read up that pcm unit wakes up by can bus. i need help thanks troy
  9. Hey! Just got my first Porsche, a 2009 Cayenne and love it! The bluetooth connectivity in PCM is killing me though. Can't get it to pair, not with iPhone 5 nor with a Nokia Lumia 930. My iPhone finds the "PCM" in bluetooth settings, I get to enter the code in both devices even. But after entering the code, I get "Connection failed". The other way around, PCM does not find iPhone at all when I "Search for phone". Is this an issue with bluetooth antenna or something, or could a software upgrade on PCM likely help? Bluetooth is enabled on PCM of course. The car has a SIM slot as well but I suppose that has nothing to do with this. I would like to make calls as well as stream audio to the car. Any ideas, others having faced similar issues?
  10. My aux button is not appears in the console. I clicked around and it appears that i have v1.4, how do i know if i need to upgrade? Also, how do you upgrade? I read around that it is worth it to goto 2.4 or 3.x? But how do i do it?
  11. hi guys, i'm having a bit of an issue with my cayenne 04 pcm unit. when i switch to the ignition the pcm doesnt wake up or switch off with the key , but if i press the power button on the pcm, it will come on but only for 15 minutes then it switches off. i have also noticed that the steering controls don't work ever. i have just checked all the fuses they are all ok. i have read up that pcm unit wakes up by can bus. i need help thanks troy
  12. Hi, I have recently had to replace the broken PCM unit in my 2007 Cayenne, I chose an AVH-X8800BT Pioneer head unit. I have used the following connectors: https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/connects2-ctspo001-porsche-cayenne-2002-stalk-steering-wheel-control-adaptor.html https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/connects2-ct27aa25-universal-twin-fakra-to-din-aerial-antenna-adaptor.html https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/connects2-ctmultilead-2-universal-steering-wheel-stalk-adaptor-stereo-patch-lead.html?search=CTMULTILEAD.2 Everything works pretty much as expected, apart from the lack of reception. I have hooked up the blue aerial adapter wire to the blue / white wire coming out of the head unit, but it doesn't seem to make a difference at all. The blue white wire has roughly 12v on it when it is unplugged, and I can get a voltage back at the other end of the fakra aerial wires where they plug into the amplifier in the rear spoiler. Does anyone have any clues as to why it doesn't seem to be working? At the rear spoiler it looks like I have two amps, 1 on each side, the right hand amp has EXT, black and curry coloured connectors, the left side just has EXT. Has anyone got any hints as to how I can diagnose this? Just to confirm that the reception was working fine on the old Porsche unit before it died. Thanks Ned
  13. I'm having a problem and think the brake switch is at fault...but not sure.I have the ABS/PCM lights showing up on the dash. When the headlights are turned off, my brake lights function normally. I don't get the warning lights when the headlight switch is off. When the headlights are turned on, the brake lights do not turn on and the ABS/PCM warning lights come on. Would a faulty brake switch be the cause of this or could it be something else?
  14. Greetings, Short Version: Clock keeps resetting itself to 1:11 PM. It will progress in time for as many as 17 minutes, before resetting. Any thoughts on what causes this clock behavior? Full Detail: Our 2004 Cayenne S had varying electrical "ghosts" since we bought it, used, in April 2014. I finally tracked it down to the ground points MB22 and MB23 both having loose nuts. The grounds for all attached electrical components was intermittent, especially in high humidity conditions. For the record, the primary symptom that led to diagnosing the loose ground was the cabin air conditioning/heating system completely losing power. Using the diagram: Wiring Diagram - 25 - Ground points left-hand drive - 9PAAE1 - 2004 - 4, I was able to isolate the ground points. That was resolved in December 2014. Ever since then, the clock keeps resetting to 1:11 PM (or 13:11). All three clocks -- on the radio, near the speedometer, and on the AC/Heat control unit -- display the same behavior. Sometimes one clock will reset just before the others, but only moments before. The clocks are obviously synchronized somewhere. As part of troubleshooting this issue, I replaced the battery under the driver's seat around October 2015. The car contained the original factory battery, prior to that replacement. Any thoughts? Can anyone explain, or point me to the documentation on, how the clock system works? For example, what ultimately controls the "current time" how are all three clocks interlinked? - PJ
  15. I have the following symptoms: Change to settings (Comfort) reset to default once car is turned off and locked and unlocked. Time for Clock returns to what was the initial setting on dash and PCM. You can set the clock and drive the car, the clock works until you turn off the car. PCM returns to radio even when i have selected CDC or CD after restarting the Navigation map not showing correct location. the current location shows i am somewhere in Mexico Date shows 01/01/00. There is no way to change it. Anyone have ideas on what the issue is? Thanks for your help.
  16. I just bought a 2006 Carrera 4. It saying PCM on the original bill of sale... does that mean I have navigation? When I press the NAV button it is saying NAV is not available. I think the DVD might be missing and I know I can buy them on Ebay, but where is the actual DVD slot. I downloaded the PCM 2.1 manual but the information is very limited and it doesn't tell me where the actual DVD player is located. Where is the DVD player?
  17. Hello! My PCM 2.1 on my 2005 Cayenne Turbo has exclamation warning symbols as if there is an error [Please check pic]. Firmware for both PCM and Navi DVD unit were upgraded, but still the error remains. I checked it with the Durametric Pro but doesn't seems to fix the issue. Any ideas? And if the old "take-it-to-the-dealer" "Use PIWIS" suggestion or advice can be avoided much better... Thanks!!!
  18. Hi, My PCM is not working. Porsche have done diagnostics and state that the microprocessor has blown and as such I need to replace it. Has anyone had such issues? Is it something that can be fixed? First I had problems with my battery, then the side lights and then the PCM stopped working. They said the other issues were because of the blown microprocessor of the PCM and if I replace the PCM all other faults will be fixed. It is costly to replace the PCM so I don't want to replace it if the root cause is not fixed and the microprocessor blows again! Any advice will be appreciate. Also is there a reputable place I can buy a replacement unit? Thanks
  19. Hello every one, I´m new here, so please be patient with me :) I have a 911 966 carrera 4 with a PCM 1 16 bits. Yesterday I was trying to put the phone card on it and it never recognive the sim. - Since my car is imported from germany will it accept the Poruguese sim card or it is bloked? Since I never cound put it to work at a sertanly point on the phone it apears something like emergency call that I click to start. After that and no call was done but the equipment keeps emmitinhg the emergency cal. I pressed the buton that we use to zoom the maps and make choices (as a enter) for several seconds and looks like the emergency desapear, but from that moment the radion nevver switch off as usualy when I remove the keys from the starter. - what to do to put it back to normal? I see I have a german manual for he pcm since i do not understand german is that a way that anyone could help me by pointing me where to get it in english or even spenish? thanks to you all
  20. I have a 2005 Cayenne S and the Nav thinks it is in the Atlantic Ocean. I get 0 Sat 0D-GPS on the info screen. Also the compass in the dash cluster always reads north. It still tries to navigate, but is several hundred miles off. I have checked the gps connections and they seem fine, but the compass makes me think that the GPS antenna may not be my issue. I believe it is pcm 2.1 as it uses nav DVD located under passenger seat. Any suggestions or help is appreciated.
  21. Hey folks, I've got a 997.2 with a PCM with a phone module and an Android phone without SIM access profile. The phone and PCM are paired, Bluetooth works OK. However, PCM says it cannot recognize and use the phone even for the simple call answering and basic hands-free. Tried with a couple of other Androids and iPhones - same result. What could be the problem? Is there a way to make the PCM work with an Android? Thanks!
  22. My navigation system cant seem to acquire sattelites consistently so I want to reboot the PCM system by removing the fuse. I looked on the drivers footwell and saw the fusebox cover and diagram but I cant seem to figure out which fuse needs to be pulled for the PCM. Do any of you know which fuse number it is? Thanks.
  23. Hi I have recently bought a 2005 Boxster with PCM (not sure if 2.0 or 2.1) and Bose speakers. However it doesn't have the DVD navigation unit or a CD changer. The problem is every time I turn the car on an error comes onto the screen "System error: Phone, Navigation System, CD Changer not available." I don't mind not having navigation but I am curious as to whether they were originally sold without the navigation unit? Also whether it is possible to stop the error message coming up at all? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  24. Hi, is there anyone that have installed the ViseeO MOSTO (MO-S1-B) in a Porsche with PCM 2.0/21 and solved the conflict with original mounted telephone? I have tried to pull out the cables fron the phone devise under the passenger seat but still i rendomly get the message "Error phone" on the display. If i then press 1+4+8 at the same time the Viseeo shows up again. Is there a way of turning off the signals from the original phone? Fuse? Or do i have to program the PCM so it doesnt look for the original phone and is that possible in Durametric proffessional? Thanks for any advise... :-) //UB330
  25. Does anyone have the schematic diagram of the 2001 PCM head unit? I am looking for the internal diagram, not the external wiring diagram. This is the Becker BE2580 unit, 996.642.104.04 EFR My PCM unit does not seek, store, etc. but does receive when the frequency is manually entered. I suspect that the second (search) tuner circuit inside the unit is faulty. I have a circuit diagram for the BE4726, which has this separate tuner and I am guessing that the architecture is similar, but obviously it would be better to start with the correct schematic.
