My 2012 Cayenne S developed a strange power windows problem. This is happening on one of the rear windows from either button (drivers door or the button on rear door). If you hold the button to close the window on the door or if you press the button on the drivers door for one touch closing the window. The window closes all the way and then immediately opens up again to half way. The only way to close it is to either close it inch by inch, crawling up the the top or by pulling the window up while it tries to close with both hands on both side of the window. This is pretty annoying. It started couple of days ago. May be some salt from the road got inside when the window was opened with salt deposits on it and its causing some issue? I really am not sure how power windows work on this car and if this is a common issue that other people have encountered. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you -
Hi I have a 2011 Panamera 4 and my windows do not auto close using the one-touch operation when sitting in the two front seats. I have to hold the window trigger the entire time while the one-touch works great to open the windows. The two rear window controls auto close using the one-touch, just not from the two front seat window controls. I'd like to determine if there's a problem with the front window control switch or not. I was told by my dealer that the one-touch close operation is restricted to only work when the window is more than 50% closed because of safety concerns. Unfortunately, this doesn't work for me either. No matter what position the window is in, I can not get the windows to close without me holding the trigger the entire time. Can anyone confirm or deny the one-touch close restriction from the two front seats ? If true, I'd be shocked that Porsche would take this stance on such a common feature in every car that has electric window controls. And also if true, do I have any options to remove the auto close restriction ? Thank you John -
2002 Boxster S, when I raise the passenger window using the center console switch the mirror heater turns itself on. Not a coincidence, happens repeatedly. I have looked thru the topics here and haven't seen this mentioned before. Any help will be appreciated before tearing into the dash with a meter. Thanks

For a little while now, my passenger side window has not been dropping down to allow the door to open/close. So I bought the microswitch and went to install it on saturday. Well, it wasn't until after I had the door panel off that I realized I don't have the triple square bit to remove the latch assembly NO worries, I'll put it back together and do the fix after I pick up the correct tool. So after the door panel is back together, I fire it up and notice: 1- the power windows don't work 2- sunroof doesn't work 3- rear defroster doesn't work 4- map lights don't work. Now, what would pulling the door panel off and putting it back on have ANYTHING to do with this list of failures? I checked the associated fuses in block D of the fuse box. They were all fine. Is there a relay connecting all of these features that may have failed? One other thing that I can't imagine would have an impact: When I went to remove the door panel, the wires that go to the little orange LED in the handle pulled out of the connector. I plan on picking up some wiring supplies at radioshack to fix this, but its only the handle LED...if that is somehow wired in series with the rest of those features...I would have to question Porsche's sense in that. Anyone know what might be going on here? Also, does anyone have a wiring diagram of this car? Thanks, Connor
