X-posting from other forums as this seems to be a rare issue? Car is 2010, C2, PDK Has anyone had this issue? I have read a post or two where people were just leaving things be. Would appreciate getting any feedback on what could be the cause. I have checked the power steering fluid, and it was full. The video is of the rack itself. Thanks! -
Hi all My 2002 996 coupe has a squeaking passenger seat when I push/pull the top or back part of the seat, including driving over bumps. I have half powered seats,,, the top/back is powered while the lower seat assembly is manual. The squeak happens when the top/back is in any position including up so you can access the back seats. Something must be loose, but my question is if there are any DIY instructions that I could focus on instead of trying to tighten every bolt and hex screw that I can access. It's pretty compact down there... Appreciated... Thank you in advance -
Am I unlucky.. :huh: Seems that after fixing my oil level sensor, I've found that the coolant pump squeaks when the car warms up. I've localized the noise to the pump rather than the idler pulley so it is looking like I'm going to have to get it replaced. 56k miles seems awfully early for the water pump to die. :censored: Has anyone seen Porsche fix these outside of warranty (or discount?)? Alternatively, does anyone have any experience with the DIY replacement? I've done it on my 996 (1999) so am wondering if it is more or less difficult? I've read that it is supposed to be more accessible, but the workshop manual seems to indicate removing the entire engine carrier plate on the rear of the engine. :help: -
I have a 2008 Cayenne turbo with the very common, but expensive panoramic roof. It will not stop squaking and I wondered whether it has any lubrication points or does it need greasing. It works perfectly, but once closed the noise is doing my head in. Any advice/help appreciated -
Looking for some advice...entering the "cold" season here in northern california and so I've been driving with the convertible top up a bit more and I've noticed that at highway speeds I'm hearing what I'd call "creaking" (which is different of course from "squeaking" or "rattling") coming from the convertible / cabriolet top. If I put my right hand palm up on the inside of the roof and press, the creaking will be silenced. Pushing in other areas has no effect. Pushing on the right spot feels like there is probably a roof support right under my palm. As I've mentioned, its a problem only encountered at highway speeds. Any ideas? Something I need to lube? Cables I need to tighten? Any advice greatly appreciated!
