If those don't work and you have access to a DME reader, I believe it's listed under Vehicle Data

- Old Blevins

Sometimes it is listed in the DME Vehicle Data - but frankly not very often.

Of the half dozen or so times I've looked to see if the factory or dealer put it in - only twice has it been there.

I have a 2000 Boxster S with the radio locked up due to a dead battery. Called the Porsche dealer but he will not give out the code without taking the car in.

Neither of those codes worked, but 6404 did, so I'm back in business! Thanks a lot. I appreciate the help.

IMHO it would be really useful if some of you guys could reply with which code Loren suggests actually works. It might help make more accurate predictions. Just my 2 cents worth.

      Dear,

i have Porsche Cayenne S 2009, i had an issue in the engine, it was stuck and the car was not starting at all. i took to workshop specialized for German cars, they told me engine was due to piston break, they repaired and engine is fine. car is starting in well condition. but i found 3 error codes during the diagnose:

      1- 0293 Multi-function switch (PRNDS)
      2- 1312 CAN Drive
3- U0103 Lost communication with gear shift module

because the gear is not communicating with shift module i receive a sound when i shift my gear and gears doesn't change when i drive in D.

please can somebody help or support

      regards,
