July 28, 2007 - Saturday - Work On Cars - San Jose

Recommended Posts

That is pretty funny stuff with the surfboard Tool Pants. I live on West Cliff next to the Lane and it is always funny to see how people attach or what they stuff their boards into. I am selling my 4Runner today, so I guess mine will be going through the sunroof.

I need to get my hazard switch taken out.

Can't figure out why it won't come out, maybe more heads can solve it...

If there is still space that is?

Cheers, Magnus

Henry does it again. 6794 Graystone Lane, San Jose.

We start at 9:30 am, and end 3 hours later. No messy projects. A PST2 clone will be there. Loren and MMD will be there in spirit.

As in the past, this will not be limited to Boxstirs.

Need a list of projects so we can fit them into the 3 hour time slot. Jeff

Thanks for the address. I e-mailed you a month or so ago regarding an amberectomy for the litronics on my '99 C4 Cab. I haven't gotten the Philips bulbs, but I suppose that shouldn't stop me. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

John

Wait - can the remote spoiler button install be part of the projects? :drive:

heh.. i need to wire mine up too. i have a button already.

I was lazy and didn't get to order my switch until today - parts won't get here until next week :( I guess I'll be out this time around. Maybe next time - or I will just bug Kirby.

for those of you with 02-04 996, you gotta be careful when u change the gauge face. According to Tool pants, the design is a bit different. BTW the motor units of the pointers are very fragile and you could break it if you pull/push it too hard. i happened to break mine  . Well it's not the end of the world. You can still replace the motor but i left that to the expert. I contacted Palo Alto Speedometer and they replaced the motor for me and now my wallet is $200 lighter. First pic is after the gauge face install, i only did the middle one and i think it looks just right. 2nd pic is the broken motor unit.
