Anyone know a trick to dropping the front end on a 73 914 2.0. looks like the strut is welded to the spindle. do you just cut the weld and slide the spindle up the strut some and re weld. that would my guess. im only looking for about an inch to inch and a half. any suggestions would be great. thanks.. shawn

Don't you just turn the bolt on the end of the torsion bar? Been a long time since I had a 1974 914 2.0 but that is what I remember.

You should also loosen the steering box knuckle and realign it with the lowered front end - so the geometry will be right.
