I have no personal experience with the 997.2 cold air kit but I have been very pleased with all the Fabspeed products I have bought in the past for my 996 cars.. The system looks sound and well designed. You would have to run this by your dealer to see if it would effect your warranty.

Personally I would put one on in a second if I had an 09...... I would call them to see if they would "guarantee that you will like it or your money back" I actually bought Cat bypass pipes for my 996 a couple years ago and hated what they did for my low end torque. Joe (at fabspeed) allowed me to return them for a full refund. I thought that was pretty cool.

Do some more research and get all the information you can. Hopefully someone here will give you some feedback....

Good Luck!

I'm confused about the increase in horsepower they claim. The dyno indicates an increase of 45 HP yet the product description indicates 29 horsepower (414 hp - I believe my stock 4S has 385 horsepower so 414 - 385 = 29).

Is the entire package a "bolt on" addition or is welding required?

Not sure about the full performance package (as it also includes a ECU upgrade). HP numbers are a little off as the 4s does come with 385HP stock. For now, I'm only looking to change the air intake which looks like it can be done by someone at home. Most of the fabspeed exhaust products are bolt on without any welding. Best to contact them though to make sure.
