Reconnecting vacuum hose for resonance flap

Recommended Posts

Cleaned the throttle body and the intake cross-pipes earlier today. Upon re-assembly I discovered that I had managed to unintentionally disconnect the vaccum hose for the resonance flap. The vacuum hose (29 in below figure) is still connected to the actuator (26).

Believe that the hose marked circled with yellow on below picture is the hose in question, and it does seem to terminate on the lower part of the intake plenum or to a device underneath the intake plenum.

Would be greatful if someone could advise where this hose is to be connected under / underneath the intake plenum.

The car is '04 2.7 Boxster ROW

That hose goes to an electric vacuum switching valve which should be clipped into the intake manifold on the bank 2 (drivers) side.

This is true of US cars, I can't say for sure on a ROW car but it seems like it would be the same.

There are two (2) vacuum lines that run to the rubber sleeve closets to the passenger cabin. (Tube not connected to the throttle body.) The vacuum line one on the driver's side runs from the pressure regulator (on fuel ring pipe) near air box to the sleeve. Vacuum pipe should lay loose and be pressure free.

On the passenger side there is also a vacuum hose that runs from the vacuum reservoir (16) and ends in a one way check valve (22). The check valve slides into the passenger side rubber sleeve. The photo belows shows the vacuum line. It should also be installed loose and tension free.Secondary_Air_Injection_system.jpg
