I am looking at buying a 928 and the history is pretty much non existent. The VIN is 9289102411 and I am trying to find out the specs of the car. Can anyone please shed some light for me. The car is in Australia. I am also wondering if it is an import or if it was originally delivered in Australia. Any help appreicated. Jed.

By all models do you mean all Porsche models or all 928 models?

All Porsche models - no there are different decoders for different models on older cars and the newer cars (with 17 digit VINs) can all be decoded with a single tool here

For 928 model - yes, I believe that same VIN decoding works on all.

Yes, there is an engine list by model, year, and serial number grouping.

As far as models what is in the VIN decode explanation is all there is -- models, engines, and options varied by delivery location.
