Heated Seats

I hope one of you knowledgeable guys can help.
My 2005 Boxster S 987-1 heated seats don't work.
No light on the dashboard switches.
The wiring diagram I have says the fuse for the heated seats is fuse F2 80A in fuse holder B (under left side at

 

dash at kick panel).
I'm assuming being a UK car it means right side (drivers side) at kick panel.
Fuses in that fuse box are in rows A-E, no row F, and the highest rating is 30A
So I assume there must be at least one or more fuse/relay boxes somewhere else.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to find this pesky fuse.

Have they ever worked?  I have seen multiple cars that needed to have the system coded before they actually functioned.

I would take a look at fuse holder E, fuses 1 & 2, which are 30Amp units for the power seat controls.  If no fuses are out, I would again suggest having the car scanned to make sure they are actually activated.

The seat heaters fuse is on the Current Distributor panel (behind the glove box under the dash)

If the car has had a recent battery change, you may still need to check to see how the coding looks, we have seen several 987 lose the seat heater coding when the battery was changed.  Both the Durametric (Pro) and Porsche's factory tool can reset them back to "on" if they switched off.

Loren,s suggestion that the fuse box is behind the glove could be the answer, trouble is I cant get at it with out taking the glove box out, will investigate further, Thanks again.

I would take JFP's advice and get the coding checked. The heated seats on a 987 are connected to the control module, and don't go through a fuse other than the current distributor. If that had blown, there would be other issues.

Take a look at the horn ring contactor behind the wheel, they are pretty well known for acting up.  Should be a DIY in the archives.
