hi,

new to forum, i have an issue with my soft top.

yesterday i went to lower my roof and nothing happened. the passenger window drops normal, drivers doesn't drop. handbrake light is on. the light for the roof being part way open is lit as well.

today i woke up and tried the roof, success it went down. this afternoon i cannot get it to go back up with same issues as yesterday.

checked fuses yesterday and they were fine. not sure what to do with relay but i have downloaded the pdf people recommend.

any suggestions would be helpful.

Sounds like it could be the microswitches when you pull the latch. Under the "alien" eyes there are 2 for screws. Once you remove those, there are 2 small gold retainer clips holding the microswitch in place. Carefully remove those with needle nose pliers and pool at all the soldering points on the switch. If temperature changes affect the top working, my guess is that there is a hairline crack in the soldering. Apply some solder to all the points and see if that fixes your problem.
