996tt oil pressure sensor replacement

I do not wish to drop my engine.

Any tutorials?

not sure about TT, but on 3.6 I think sender is located on top of right side of engine.  Easy change for inde shop a few years ago.

The oil pressure sensor on the 996 Turbo is on the top of the engine - right behind the oil filter.  Not easy to access, but possible.

My mistake I just realized you have a 996TT - even though posted in the 996 section.

You gotta move the oil filter housing and you'll be able to reach it.

Lower the engine about 4 inches and it is lot better!!! Floor jack under the engine block and 2 nuts 18mm on the rear engine mount...... Oups that is probably fix already, old post......

I did this last weekend and removed the diverter valves instead of the oil filter housing to get to the oil pressure sending unit.

Not too bad a job if you lower the engine.

I’m working on this right now. Any help would be appreciated. I see previous listings saying I need to remove the oil filter housing or possibly the secondary air intake on the left side but I can’t find any help on how to remove either of them.

Why are you replacing the sensor? What behavior is occurring?
