Coolant leaking from rear of motor. Is this the dreaded plastic pipe problem? 06 CTTS

So I'm towing a boat yesterday and my low coolant light came on.  I added some water and then 2 minutes later I got the same warning.  Looked closely and the steam was on the drivers side towards where the driver is located (but from inside the engine compartment).  So I ask....  Is this it?  Am I about to have to fork out big bucks for a fix?  Was there ever a recall or am I alone on this fix?

 

If it is the coolant pipe fix which kit do you suggest?  Got anyone near Louisville KY that is good at doing this fix?

If it's at the very back by the firewall and on the driver's (left) side, it could also be one of the coolant tees or a hose. It's not fun/easy to work back there but it's doable, particularly with remote hose clamp pliers. If your coolant pipes have not been done, it's a good time to do them as many of the same parts need to come off the top of the engine to reach either location. Also consider replacing the plastic tees with new aluminum ones from JagsThatRun. Search here and Rennlist for all the details.

If it's just a pinhole spray, chances are it's one of the turbo T's at the back of the engine. I had those blow up on my Cayenne and changed over to some metal ones that I bought from jags that run. 

 

I'd rate that the most difficult and frustrating job I've done on the Cayenne yet. My indie wouldn't touch it so I had to DIY.
