lapower bluetooth install (2008 cayenne GTS)

Recommended Posts

All,

I've followed a few threads on this topic, not have just attempted it.  But I've hit problems.  Install initially went fine.  My kit didnt come with the MOST loop for the CD changer, and I sourced one of those.  I also had a factory TV install, which complicates things, but its now removed and looped out (it does receive channels here anyway).  At this point the unit work, I could make calls and play music.

Howover, I couldnt control it from the steering wheel buttons, only the console buttons.   Anyone any ideas why this is the case?  I have wondered if it is linked to the little jumper switches (mine all set to ON.

Then, after about a day of working, my unit doesnt power on?  The power cables give 12v, but I get no blue light at the back anymore.  Clearly this means I have no audio at all right now.  I wired the unit into the power to the PCM device.  I've noticed with the engine it off, it gets about 11.7v, with the engine on it gets 13.2v.  Is it possible that the unit is damaged now?

thanks

HUgh
