I replced the CDR23 with Seicane Android HU.  It comes with Canbus adapter and I purchaed MOST adapter with it to make it work with factory Bose amp.

The unit powers up fine, but the MOST adapter needs to have power to work.  Any suggestion where can I connect the three wires listed in the pic to?  I assume the main socket that was connected to the CDR23 has power, but don’t know which wire is which.  How easy would it be to get power from lighter adapter aux?  I am planning to replace that lighter adapter with USB port for the HU as well.

I just installed a Pioneer Avic 8200NEX in my '06CTTS. I got the B+ (constant power from the original harness), I got switched ACC power from the right side dash fuse box. I've found that the Cayenne fuse locations in the manual can be quite different depending on your options. It helps if you list your year and model of Cayenne which may narrow down the fuses and/or harness. I know there is a big difference in the head unit wiring between the PCM and the CDR23 so the wires behind the headunit will not be different. With the Pioneer, I get the reverse signal (backup camera) and gala speed signal from the High/Low can bus signals that went into the PCM. I used a Scosche adapter but it still needed a bit of wire tapping in. I also have the volume and channel change capability from the steering wheel controls.

MY04 Cayenne S.  I was able to get B+, ACC, and ground from the Canbus harness.

 

Everything seems to be working including steering wheel controls but the amp seems to be dying.  I had CDR23 with Bose.  With CDR23, sometimes the sound will not come from the amp.  I had to change the HU regardless, but it seems that the problem is still there with the new HU.  So I may replace the Bose amp with refurbished one that Becker sells with 3 year warranty.  The only problem is how to get the amp out.  From what I have read so far, it is not an easy job.  If there is an easy way to get it out, I would be very interested in finding it out.

On yours is it just back in the right rear cubby hole? If it is should just be a 10mm socket to get 2 nuts off and take the whole bracket out or tilt it down enough. There should be a power connector and a MOST connector to it.

If you are replacing the amp, consider not putting a Bose back in - get free of the MOST system while you have the chance! With a nice (and expensive) HU like the AVIC just run RCA lines to the back and put in something like a JBL XD600/6. With the MOST adaptor you do not have front/back fade control, and in my CTT anyway it really needs the sound shifted to the rear speakers. Plus the sub performance is questionable. This is what I am getting around to doing with mine. Lots of threads online of people who have done this.

I did consider using something like JL Audio’s XD600/6v2.  The problem is that there is a lot of change that needs to happen if I understand it correctly.  Running wires, putting in crossovers to match impedance, and or changing speakers to something like Focal.  While I like to have better sound quality, I cannot justify the price difference for such an upgrade on a car that has 170k miles and is 14 years old and for the amount of time I will be listening to it.  Replacing the Bose amp for $500 with three year warranty from Becker is a quick and easy solution for me.

 

I am not too concerned about fading.  But I read that there is a 4 channel MOST adapter from some russian seller that lets you fade.  Can’t seem to find the link anywhere.

If anyone has experience ordering from these guys it would be great to hear about it. Apparently there is a new version 4.0 with is improved. About $160 US.

      Can someone validate whether or not the dealer ACTUALLY has to install the PCM 3.0 Nav Update?  Unless there is some voodoo that they have to do with the PIWIS, why do they need 2 hrs of labor to insert a disc and press "enter" a few times??  Seems a waste if you can read directions...  Thanks for any help.

      Does anyone know how to find the radio security code other than removing the actual multimedia console? I found this website here but not sure if it really works. My concern is when I change the battery (which is dying) how to gain access to the multimedia center again should it require a security code. I am the third owner and have found nothing written in any of the vehicle documents. Any advice would be appreciated.
