Hey gang, hopefully someone can answer a few questions for me.

I have a 997.2 cab, and recently bought a set of Turbo II wheels – when I spoke to my local dealership, they informed me the offset was wrong and the wheels wouldn’t work on the car. Anyone have thoughts? What size tires are you running if you have the same setup? Any help is appreciated.

Here are the part numbers:

Front 997.362.157.02 – 8x11 ET57

Rear 997.362.163.02 – 11x19 ET51

Thanks,

Chris

In general, you can not put wide body wheels on a narrow body car - they will not fit properly - and they are likely to give you handling problems. So they are correct these will not work on a narrow body car.

Ask your dealer for the TSB that calls out approved wheels and tires for your model year car. You have a car that can hit 180 MPH - be safe and use the proper wheels and tires.

I've got a 2011 C2S  and have those exact wheels on it, at least they look exactly like those.  They are called turbo wheels and there were an option from the factory.  I don't think my S is considered a wide body car.

The offset on the rear wheel for a 19" C2S is 67 mm.

The offset on the rear wheel for a 19" C4S is 51 mm.

My 2011 C2S came with the Turbo II wheels. They are on the factory option list. They fit fine.  I think the rear tires are 295/30 ...

The options from the factory are offset to fit a narrow body (RWD) 997.2, but if someone purchased takeoffs from a Turbo car (wide-body) then you will have a fitment issue for non-wide-body cars. I have a C4S so I did not have fitment problems with my Turbo wheels, which came off of a 2007 Turbo.
