97 Boxster crank no start

Ok so here is the deal, i installed a new Double din stereo and now I have no spark and no fuel pressure. I can jumper the fuel pump and it turns on. I sprayed starting fluid into throttle body and nothing. I checked for spark and i have nothing. I replaced the crank position sensor and still no change....so i need to be pointed in the right direction for diagnosis...

1997 986 2.5 manual transmission. I have checked all the fuses and they are all good. It is very strange that even with the new cps i still have no bouncing on the rpm needle when it cranks....

I promise when I find the solution to this it'll be posted on this website so if anyone's following This Thread keep watching I'll make sure that it gets posted

OK, let's try a long shot:  When you replace the radio, did you ground the radio anti theft wire?  The central locking control unit may be responding to what it thinks is someone trying to steal the radio or the car..............

The car is behaving as though the anti theft system thinks you are trying to steal it, and is shutting off the fuel and spark.  You need to go back over your radio install and look for anything that would lead to this.  Do you have access to a Porsche specific scan tool?  It would be interesting to see if there is an open circuit somewhere in the security system.

In the meantime you can check the following with key ON engine OFF to make sure these get power to them. These verify DME relay and ignition relay.

MAF pin 2-> +12v

Any black wire of any O2 sensor (car harness side with the O2 sensor disconnected) -> +12v

No, the fuel pump has its own relay. Both DME and ignition relays are under the rear seat parcel panel. Since you have power to the MAF and O2, you have power to the injectors and coils. The only reason you don't have sparks is because the DME is not grounding the injectors and coils. This is also consistent with no tach needle bounce while cranking. Are you sure the CPS connection is tight?

If not the CPS, it'll be back to the alarm/immobilizer system.

Yes, DME has power for sure because it activates the start-lock relay (assume stick shift) to allow power to reach the starter. What I found odd is if the alarm system is trying to prevent the car from being stolen, why does it allow the engine to crank.
