Window not dropping on opening door

Passenger door window not dropping down and central locking light on and beeping when locked.

This was on 2002 S and if either inner door handle or outer door handle operate ok then it probably is the microswitch in the non operational handle

In this case both were not working and this points to the door lock mechanism which has several electrical and mechanical functions

Lock replaced and everything now working correctly you do not have to remove outer handle to install
