Top judder won’t open fully, then won’t close without help

Recommended Posts

Hello,

i know there are are other Topics on this but I havnt been able to find my problem.

The other day the roof wouldn’t work (windows came down could hear the motor but no movement), I got through the back and after messing around with the cables leading to the switch (pulled one off) I managed to get it up with the button.

I have since tigtened everything as there were some loose bolts Both levers seem to be in the exact position so I’m sure it’s level?

So now I’m at the point where it starts to go up fine (clam comes up roof starts moving) but when the roof gets to full height the roof just judders and I can here a clicking coming from the passenger side gears I think. I can then manually drop it by hand. Once down it won’t come back up until you manually pull it up to the full height again then the roof works on the button to close.

I was having issues with the popping noise on both struts before but now that has gone it’s seats perfectly and light goes out. So I’m guessing it’s leveled up right. Nothing is broken I have the white connectors (not the red) and it all seems intact.

Could anyone one please help to resolve the issue?

Thanks in advance.

Brad
