The cover just above the trunk that goes up and down when the top is activated will not seat and latch on the passenger side. I can slam it down with my fist but it pops back up in seconds.  Both transmissions have recently been replaced, as top was not working. Top otherwise seems to function

Hey everyone, i own a 2010 porsche Boxter 2.9L with the PDK transmission.. yesterday after leaving the car for a 4 days i started it and went for a drive.. when i turned it on again, i got a warning message “emergency transmission run” and the car became very jerky through gearshifts and wouldnt accelerate properly.. after turning it on and off the message went away and it drove just fine but then it kept re-appearing mid drives and becomes very jerky and clunky...ive noticed since i had the car that the gearbox was sometimes clunky or would make a noise when changing gear but the dealership said that was fine and normal since its a PDK, the car is at 59,000km so its time for a transmission fluid change... could this be a low voltage problem, or transmission fluid? The reverse gear works just fine.. has this happened to any other owners?

Me and my dad have recently bought a 2001 Porsche Boxster that has not been run in 2 years, as a "fairly easy" project to start with. So where to begin we did all the basics for a car that hasn't run in 2 years, we replaced the spark plugs and tubes, so then when we tried to throw some gas in it wont let us, we have checked the E6 fuse as was suggested on other forums, we slowly threw in some gas at a time, about 5 gallons in total. When we tried to start it it didn't, so when we tried to troubleshoot we found that it has no spark. So does anyone have any idea or suggestions on how to fix any or all of these things?

Hey all, I have an intermittent issue with a convertible top on a 2003 Boxster. After the car has sat for over a week the convertible top won't go up or down via the switch on the dash.
Thanks to the great advice on these forums I was able to eliminate a lot of potential problems (parking break dash light, micro switches, blown fuses). Then I came to some suggestions involving the relay panel and, sure enough, if I pull a relay and put it back in, the convertible top switch on the dash works again.
What I can't figure out is why this works. It seems like I'm pulling the wrong relay? I 'borrowed' this pic from another thread because the relay panel looks the same as mine. Everything I've been reading says that the convertible top relay is the long rectangular white box. However, when I pull the smaller white box to the right of it and put it back in, the one with the blue sides (see pic below), the top works again.

In case anyone can't see it from the above, here's another pic... The relay I pull to get the top to work again is the one to the right of the yellow outline:

Does anyone know why the top works by pulling the wrong box, to the right of what should be the convertible top relay? What is this relay, and if I replace it would it alleviate the issue?
