Cabriolet Top Wont close

The top on the car is stuck in the open position and I can't get it to close . It will starts to close and the clam shell and the flaps get fully open and out the way, then every thing stops all I hear is clicking after that ( electrical sounds ) . I tried to calibrate with Durametric but every thing stops at the same point . I even tried to manually to close the top but it only left 4 inches and I don't wont to force it or break any thing . Is any one out their have the proper procedure to close it manually so I can go though and check the oil level and sensors . I did removed the back cover to access the pressure relief valve for the pump and that how I can left the top only 4 inches . Any suggestion would be helpful.
