Transgo kit resulting in code p0840

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I’m new here so I hope I’m in the right place for this. But we just recently did the transgo rebuild kit on the valve body for the same common reasons.  The old fluid was dirty but no metal shavings so the transmission itself seems solid.  My Cayenne turbo is shifting better/smoother for the most part.  But then randomly throws the p0840 code (transmission fluid pressure {oil pressure} sensor/switch 1 transmission mechanical fault).  When this happens the car shifts rough again and gets stuck in gear.  A couple times all the gear selector indicators (P,R,N,D) all lit up at the same time!  Once this happens, I either have to stop and shut the car off and back on or stop and clear the code with my Bluetooth scanner and it jumps back to 2nd gear and all is well again... dafuq?

i ordered the pressure switches this morning (because I have no clue which one of them is causing this).  But has anyone else had this happen?? If so was it just the sensor/switch?

Any constructive advice is greatly appreciated!!
