I’d really like your take on this. In a few months I will be faced with the decision whether or not to purchase my current 2017 Cayenne after the lease or look into getting into a new one 2019 models. I do like the looks of the new model but then there are many other factors to consider. Mine is the base VR 6 engine. It will be basically purchase mine vs. another lease if I go for the new model.

2017 mine

Made in Germany +

Better looking dash in my opinion +

Engine Germany +

Engine is noisy and somewhat rough -

Transmission Japan not sure if better than the new ZF ?

Extremely reliable never had to bring it in for anything since I got it except for an oil change. +

Mechanical gear shifter ?

Xenon -

No keyless -

No emergency auto braking -

2019

Made in Slovakia -

Better electronics and displays +

Engine Hungary -

Smoother running and more refined +

Transmission ZF Germany ?

Stronger brakes. Felt better than my 2017 model +

Auto emergency braking +

Keyless +

Electronic gear shifter (secondary battery) ?

Faster +

LED lights

First year model German cars are usually bad news -

Engine historically not as reliable as the naturally aspirated one on my 2017 ?

Your input highly appreciated
