Suggestion for Scan Tool for '04 CTT

Recommended Posts

Could use some help, I have been trying to sort out the differences between Durametric, Launch X431 and Schwaben aka Foxwell scan tools for my particular application.  The problem is many posts are dated (generally referring to Durametric) and X431 is updated, and Schwaben is newer from what I see.  Other posts have anecdotal information, and or the poster is not mentioning what year/model Cayenne they have .. and I understand that some things do and don't work depending on the year.

I'm not a huge fan of the # of VIN restrictions from Durametric, and I generally find the X431 pages/listings and info muddled and confusing to follow (probably says more about me than anything)

So... I have a 2004 Cayenne Twin Turbo.  I am looking to perform the following with the tool, beyond basic OBD Scanning, maybe some of these are not possible at all,  maybe exclusive to 1 scanner only.

- Reset Oil Service Light

- Reset Oil Interval setting

- Reset Brake Service light

- Retract Brake Calipers for service

- Extract TPMS Sensor ID's

- Reset TPMS System

- Reset Ride Height system

- Monitor Transmission Temp (during fluid change)

Any constructive input would be greatly appreciated... I have even started thinking it might be good to build a check list with functions, and which tool can or cannot perform.
