Need Help! Replaced Air Strut on 2011 Cayenne Turbo

Ok, I've been racking my brain over this. I need a subject matter expert or someone with tribal knowledge to help. My right front air strut was leaking so I finally got around to replacing it. I installed a Suncore remanufactured OE Air Strut assembly that was plug and play https://www.suncoreindustries.com/pr...he-cayenne-92a. My leak is fixed and I have full range in ride height adjustments.

The problem is my ride is FIRM no matter if I select Comfort, Norm, or Sport! No faullts are present. Needless to say it’s not a comfortable ride any longer banghead.gif Please help!

I am new to Cayenne ownership.  The limited knowledge that I have of air strut system is that it needs to be filled

with Nitrogen when you replace any component in the system.  This filling process also requires the use of a PWIS computer.  I think if you had a shop with a PWIS refill and calibrate the system you would get that great ride back.  I hope that helps.

After reading this thread, I thought to myself - ?hmmmmm my 2011 Cayenne S also doesn't seem to ride any differently regardless of the suspension settings (it's ALWAYS hard) Comfort, Normal & Sport. Is it really supposed to ride smoothly in the comfort mode? Asking for my kidneys.... ?

Might need to ask my garage to look into it... Just never experienced a “comfort” ride after purchasing it second-hand, and since this is my first “modern” Porsche - I just wanted to know if this request would be worthwile, or if I’m dreaming. I would hate to throw money into something that is normal... Any other Cayenne owners out there that confirm there is really a difference? 

 

On a side note: I have 21” wheels, and I understand that will also influence the ride comfort due to the lower profile tire.

Sorry for the slow update...BLUF: Suncore air struts are not compatable with the 958 Turbo!  They were nice enough to refund my money and I found an OEM air strut.  Installed and ops checks good...my comfort ride is BACK!
