  • Description 1983 944 (not a turbo) -- Purchased as a US Spec model in Ehrlangen, Germany. Driven in Germany, Austria, Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg for about 5,000 miles in 6 months then imported to the US. The dealer took care of the shipping. The purchase price included a second catalytic convertor for use in the US. The original convertor got fouled by the leaded gas used in Europe at the time.<br /><br />Sold to Porsche Rockville, MD in 1985 with 45,000 miles for about $15,000.
