  3. Read Loren's post above, it covers all the possible issues.

  5. Was there ever a fix to this? Currently having this issue with p1130 only.
  6. If this is true then leaving the engine compartment open at idle the light should go off.
  7. I have the same problem lost the radio code for Boxster 2000 with serial numbers Y5043589 can you help me please!
  8. you mean the coolant level sensor? that has been changed. now i am thinking probably caused by "high engine compartment temperature" but it looks normal to me... this blinks only when the car is on idle, like i said, zero coolant loss, both coolant level & temp sensor have been changed.
  9. hi, i am facing the same problem here for past 3 months, temp light was blinking slowly and coolant temp was around 90-95 celcius, zero coolant leak, it always happen when car is idled at traffic, compartment fan working... i have replaced a long list of items: 1, both radiators (csf) 2, both radiator fan (low and high speed are good) 3, coolant temp sensor 4, coolant level sensor 5, water pump and thermostat 6, bleed the system twice, no trapped air or bubbles and the light still blinks slowly after ~20min of city drive and stuck at traffic... i am really running out of ideas now...

  11. Sometimes it is further up behind the front bumper. Also something the may help is to have a 2nd person push gently on the front hood log area while you activate the release. If that does not work then you might have to remove the front bumper cover - which means replacing some parts and if not done correctly the front bumper can be damaged. So - good luck on that.
  12. Loren, thanks for the quick response. Just want to make sure we are talking the same language. My main or primary hood release cable is definitely on the left side (driver) and I believe it is broken or disconnected. I was trying to get to the emergency release cable that in the US is hidden in the right side (passenger) wheel well that I can't seem to find. Hope this makes sense?
  13. I really need the 4 digit code to unlock my Porsche radio CDR 220 Serial number: Y506-1181
  14. Gents, need some creative thinking. My hood release cable stopped working, when you pull the lever, it does not feel like it is connected to the latch. Took the inner wheel lining out to look for the magic backup emergency release cable and it was not there 😞 No I am stuck and am looking for some creative solutions/ideas on how to get my hood open. I would thinking I might remove my right headlamp assembly and look to see if the cable emergency cable can be reached from there. Anyone have success with getting headlamps out but no access to the release lever in the trunk? Any other creative ideas on how I can get the hood latch released? Thanks in advance
  15. That definitely sounds like symptoms of a MAP (or MAF) sensor issue. My 2011 CTT will on occasion behave like you describe and it is easily remedied by removing the sensor and spraying it with MAF sensor cleaner. I'm guessing this happens about every 20,000 miles or so on mine with 100k+ miles. I bought a new sensor just in case, but it just rides along in the glove compartment waiting for the day when the cleaner stops working. If I let mine go long enough, it will eventually throw a "P1637 Pressure sensor ahead of throttle valve" code. Pretty sure your engine has at least one, check this part #: 94860618000,
  16. Hi all, hoping for some insight or suggestions. I have a 2012 Cayenne S 4.8 V8 with 137,000 miles on it, that has always run like a champ. It has recently begun acting odd. At first I thought it was the transmission, but decided against that as it shifts properly and smoothly. When first starting out in gears 1-4, it feels like running over random bumps or engine hiccups. It’s like engine hesitation or a jerking during acceleration. After getting up to speed, it goes away and I no longer feel it. It also feels like there is erratic idling recently when I turn car on. It also occasionally exhibits a loss of power or slow acceleration when starting out before then taking off. All of this began around the same time. After doing some research, this seems to match the symptoms of a mass airflow sensor problem. Does the 2012 Cayenne S 4.8 V8 have mass airflow sensors? There is not one on either air tube or anywhere between the two air boxes and the throttle body? Would a bad MAP sensor cause these issues? I have an iCarsoft Auto Diagnostic Scanner POR V2.0 and have checked for fault codes, but none show. I have also not gotten any other warnings from the dash. Any suggestions or help are greatly appreciated!

  20. Hi,I have 2006 cayenne v6 that my transmission torque converter seal is leaking ,does anyone know a good shop in jax Florida that do this job but with a normal price (what should be the average price)
  21. Loren or JPFlip - Still Troubleshooting the above issue. At first I was focusing on the potential for something with the variocam solenoid but can't see how that could be the issue as it is a few years and very few miles since the engine was out for pinning of the coolant pipes. That said, on a previous issue where the car was quitting, I replaced the fuel pump and relay only to find that the cause of that fuse blowing was melting of O2 sensor wires and grounding on exhaust. The fact that this started with C1 AFTER figuring out the other problem leads me towards the fuel pump area (I had to go back in there and re-seat the locking collar too... ) Most recently I found that the wiring to the plug on top of the fuel cell was rubbing on the edge of the access opening. I could not see any evidence of chafing through the insulation so rerouted and drove for a few days... sure enough on two different right turns returning from work, the fuse blew. Right before it blows, the engine seems to stutter when returning to throttle in the turn... I bought a relay off amazon... thinking of putting the original relay back in the car since I am working through anything/everything that was messed with or changed while chasing down the O2 sensor wire issue. Any advice on where else to look would be helpful. Loren, I am wondering what schematic you were referring to in an earlier post... I have the wiring diagram for the car as part of the 996 Turbo service manual set I have (Odd that the GT3 print would be there....but... )I couldn't really track that down in the print. Thank you guys again...
  22. Hi JFP. Where is the purge valve located? Is it under the intake manifold or is it up inside the front fender? It there a easy access point that I might be able to get to?
  23. Anybody know where the magnetic field sensor is located on 2005 955 turbo with QR1 compass option? It is NOT under the back seat. Previous owner swapped out pcm 2.1 for bt head unit and now no dash cluster compass.
  24. Sorry, I have no idea. Please read the Lost Radio Code FAQ "Which radios fitted to Porsche can have their unlock code recovered through serial number? - CR-220/CDR-220 - Becker - CR-210/CDR-210 - Becker - Traffic Pro NAV/CD - Becker"
