  2. Yes, I have a "FIXD" device that reads the codes, and told me that there were no error codes!!🙁 Maybe I will go check again. Thanks for the note.

  4. Do you have a durametric you can use to pull some codes? I believe the PDK will flash something in the gear indicator if it is in limp home mode but this may be more subtle than that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Went to the garage, started my car, pulled out of the garage, braked to stop to check that my garage door closed (5 sec max), applied some gas and nothing happened. When I tried to change the gear selection, the gear indicator in the tachometer didn't show at all. Pushed it back into the driveway as best I could. I have tried it several times with no luck. No fault lights have come on!! I looked here in the forum but didn't see any postings that were similar. Five days previous to this event, I returned from a spirited, three state sampling (1900mi) of the twistys and mountain roads, only smiles as a result. Anyone have any thoughts?

  8. Hi! Is this unit a Android 4.2 Jelly Bean? I am desperate after the Update and mcu files , my unit can only get into system recovery but does not boot. I brought mine in 2015 from a shop on Ebay that does not answer my emails, so as this units for Porsche are so exclusive it is quiet hard to find any information...   10. Now, almost 15 years since the last post, I, too, am looking for the boomerang as I just paid $620 to have the front bumper/spoiler repaired and repainted. Any reply would be most helpful. thank you, pbh

  12. It is always helpful to list the exact model and year of your car.
  13. You want a switched source - only on when the ignition is on. The lighter is always on. There is a connector in the center lower console that has +12VDC always on, +12VDC switched, and ground. That is your best source. Do a search here that connector has been discussed many many times.
  14. This may already be well known info, but I recently had issues with my battery and was contemplating replacing. It was after my car was parked for extended period of time and had issues starting. In short, you can can charge the front driver seat battery via the +/- posts in the engine bay. This will not charge the battery in the trunk. You have to charge this battery separately. What I did this time around was permanently connect a CTEK pigtail with indicator to rear battery. It will show red when low, etc. This will allow to charge/trickle charge the rear batter without having to remove the speaker etc.

  17. I did the cluster upgrade with the OBC upgrade using 2 window switches....pretty much plug and play ....all works with the exception of getting night illumination for to the switches. I read pins 3 and 5 are ground and hot respectively. I tried jumping 3 and 5 from the TC switch directly to the new switches...this did light up the switches but then caused the TC LED to remain lit at all times with the ignition off!! Can I just jump it from the cigarette lighter or ashtray light? Thanks V

  20. All of those codes are likely due to bad grounds covered by the TSB. They should have been fixed years ago a dealer.

  22. I know this is somewhat old but my 2000 Boxster has thrown Belt Tensioner codes 24 and 25 (per Durametric scanner) for driver and passenger seats. Am I correct in assuming my car only has the tensioner at the buckle? This car had been in an accident where the airbags deployed, to the best of my knowledge. I also have code 64 Passenger Seat Occupancy Detector as well as Child Seat Detector. Are these separate sensors? Under the seat? Thanks for any help you can provide! Judi
  23. Porsche produced a TSB for this. Chances are you have bad grounds under the seats and/or worn/dirty seat belt buckles. If the TSB (for the grounds) has been done then likely that your buckles are worn out.
