Missing bumper pieces?

Recommended Posts

I have a 2003 C-2 Coupe, 6-speed without the third radiator. However, underneath of each side of the bumper there is a hole between the underside of the bumper and wheel well flap.

I know this area is for the hot air to escape the radiators, but it looks like I am missing a panel or something. There are one-inch slots that holds rubber tabs. On mine, I just have the rubber tabs that fit into these one-inch slots, but no panel/part that connects to these tabs. It looks like an object sheared off both panels from the rubber tabs.

Am I missing two pieces?

If so, what are the part numbers? Thank.

Item 4?

I would suspect the missing pieces are #4 (left and right). I assume the picture is for a 2002+ bumper. Mine is a 2003 standard bumper.

The picture is not very clear but it looks like it would fit under that section below the bumper.

I wonder if the tech at the dealership forgot to reinstall them after he cleaned the radiators.

Do you know the part numbers and cost? If they're not too expensive, I will order them.

Thanks again, Loren.

They would not have needed to remove them when cleaning the radiators or removing the bumper.

The (item 4) pieces fit at the end of the bumper where it wraps around in front of the wheels.

MY02 and newer are the same bumper - Porsche uses the pic for reference.

996.505.525.01.01C Left cover -- MSRP $10.19 (as of June 2007)

996.505.526.01.01C Right cover -- MSRP $11.00

Hi Loren,

I checked underneath again and the #4 parts in the picture are not them, but next to #4 and the rubber flap with the part number 996.504.504.03 for the passenger side.

These missing pieces look like they are held in by 5 one-inch rubber tabs and fit underneath the bumper between part #4 and that rubber flap.

Thanks,

Eric

Ok, you want wheel well liner parts...

post-1-1182312016_thumb.png

Item 7

996.504.503.03 Left rubber lip

996.504.504.03 Right rubber lip

Item 8

996.504.603.02 Left air duct

996.504.604.01 Right air duct

Hi Loren,

I received the parts and installed the Left air duct. However, the Right air duct (996.504.604.01) appears too large and has two too many tabs. Could there be another part number like 996.504.604.01 but is slightly smaller like the size of the left side?

I also need the part number for the passenger side (right) wheel well liner and price. I think that is number 2 in the picture.

Thanks again,

Eric

My bad... that part is for a C4S.

I think for item 8 you want 996.504.604.02 Right air duct

Item 2 is: 996.504.104.00 Right wheel liner

That's ok. Does anyone need a C4s right air duct cheap?

996.504.104.00: Just to confirm, this is the piece that goes to the inside of the wheel well and is the one that goes in front of the wheel. The little rubber flap attaches to this liner.

Do you happen to have the price for the right wheel liner?

Thanks,

Eric

The small flap (item 7) attaches to item 1 - I thought you wanted the larger wheel liner piece.

Please clarify which item(s) that you want - thanks.

I will need item 1, the smaller of the two pieces. After staring at the diagram, it looks like that is a picture of the driver's side view with item 1 being in the front and 2 at the rear.

Please provide part number and price of item 1, but the right (passenger side).

Thanks.

It helps create air stream besides the radiator vent. hole ( under the car ) for better/quicker hot air evacuation and more intensive cooling.
