Just Installed GHL Exhaust & Header

Oh baby, suddenly the beast is alive! :jump:

Sounds muted until you are on it, then growls & barks in a melodious way! This is what I've been missing on the car since purchase ('02 C4S). Seems like I've picked up some BHP too, could be because I'm spending longer in the 4-7k range on the tach

No droans or vibration, I'd recommend to anybody.

That's great man! I would like to be the one with that joy! I am shopping around for a good setup for some nice deep notes. I'm not all into trying to make this the fastest car alive nor the loudest but I do so love the the deep grumbling at idle and and nice deep pitc`h throughout the powerband without hitting Nascar ranges as I like to hear my stereo and I am currently dynalining my cabin. to try and reduce the motor resonance in the cabin. I 'd like to know a bit about the GHL setup where you got it and the cost. Not cheap, but well put together it looks great. I paid just under $2.2k installed, although the header I purchased used, figure on another $600 purchasing new.

You can purchase the system directly from GHL (http://www.ghlmotorsports.com/), I got mine through Foreign Affairs in Pompano Beach FL, they recommended & installed the system. They quoted a potential gain of 12-15 HP, I certainly feel some gain a.

Can't honestly say it "deep rumbles" at idle, like a tuned 5.0 'stang, but it does sound like a race car when you start pushing it, no it doesn't drown out the stereo. It has a "Jekyll & Hyde" personality though which suits me fine as my daily user, it suits my moods and driving. I find an open road at the end of the day, "there is no substitute".

I recommend auditioning any system before you purchase if you get the chance. Where are you based?

Hi well for the time being I am in Kansas City. I would like to be able to link up with a couple of owners and share recepies, and info like where I can get my 19" staggered 3pc. Champion wheels tires changed without them getting scarred as Big O Tires did to my last set of 19" only $2800 for the set wheels. Ouch.

Guess there aren't many P-Cars in KC? Well you're special!

Maybe you can get them done via UPS? I know it sounds silly but Tire Rack supplies wheels with tires fitted. Maybe if you purchase the tires from them they could provide a return service?

Well that is a thought, allthough I must say I would much rather have it all done within a day or two. Besides I already have new Rossa's sitting in the garage. There has to be some Porsche's here, I'm just not seeing'em. I have already met a few people here that know of a Porsche Guru. Believe you me, I am trying to make contact with him.
