  2. That is correct - I fixed the typo in my previous post.
  3. Next time I am up your way (or you are down here) I'll put the PST2 on it again and see if we can find the cluster setting. Sorry, I didn't find it the first time.
  4. Those fault code lists come from the OBD II manual not the shop manual. 99 Tank pressure sensor P0450 P0452 P0453 1/– P0450 Signal implausible – Pressure sensor faulty P0452 Below lower limit – Short circuit to ground P0453 Above upper limit – Short circuit to B+
  5. Yes the manual release is behind the left rear tail light. You will need to reach up and behind the wheel liner to fine the cable and pull it.
  6. I checked the order type and it was set correctly for a Boxster S -- 986320.
  7. Hmm... I didn't see that and I looked. Perhaps CharlieG can check his wiring then I will have to have another go at it with the PST2.

  12. Both ABS and PSM lights on... This is the same error you will get if the MAF is unplugged. Are you sure you or a shop didn't accidently leave the MAF unplugged after working on the car? This can also cause ABS and PSM lights to come on as the DME is not sensing the PSM data and combining it with the throttle position and mass air flow readings. If it is the steering angle sensor you will need a PST2 (or PIWIS tester) to set it correctly.
  13. ABS and PSM fault codes are in the 4000 and 5000 range. How did you get this code? What tools/scan device?
  14. Yes. No, there is no need to do that. If you don't install the vacuum and electronics then they act as mufflers only - so no vacuum is used. Mine have been that way since 2000. No, it will just burn off from the heat.

  16. That information is not in a TSB - it is in the service manual. You will also need someone with a PST2 (or PIWIS) to re-calibrate the new top. I have re-calibrated a top once - it took about 2 minutes. I sent you a PM...

  19. Normal - secondary air pump cutting in to manage emissions.
  20. If you haven't changed the fuel filter - I would start with that. A clogged fuel filter can cause all kinds of problems. If it is not that you will want to test the fuel pressure and see if it is the regulator or the sensor.

  22. P0453 Tank Pressure Sensor – Above Limit Check wiring from pressure sensor to DME control module for short to B+. Repair wiring or replace sensor.
  23. No switch until MY02. The switch is only available in matte black for left side of console or right side of console (LHD or RHD).
  24. That will work. I usually just put it on the jacks stand then carefully remove the wheel.
