  1. 1. What is a fair price to get them painted / installed for?

    2. My 99' is Artic Silver, Does the body/paint shop need to purchase both teh 92U & 92T paints, or are they the same thing, just with differnet part numbers?

    1. Make sure you find someone that knows how to paint plastics and will get the sideskirt tight on the body panel.

    2. Your paint is likely 92U, which is water based paint (92T is conventional oil base). Just check the option sticker under the front hood or in your owners manual.

  2. I called about my seats and they told me they never heard of the recall either. I can't seem to get the real scoop on the seats. I purchased my car late Nov. from Niello, and I think that it was a early 2003 build.

I think I posted this before but here it is again. Call either number and give them your VIN.

  3. Hi Loren,

yesterday my dealer installed the PSE on my car - and I recognized the problems listed in this task. In Germany the PSE is turned off between 50 and 70 km/h. The feeling while auto turn off was not very fine.

With your description it seems very easy to disable the speedometer signal. But before I start to modify the car, please let me know if the doing is the same for all models.

My car, 996 C2, was build 10.2002 but it is model 2001 with 3,4l and 300 HP.

Can I disable the speedometer signal for my car in the way of your description ?

    Thanks

    Frank

Yes, it's the same for all model years. Only the relay has changed over the years.

  4. The top and plastic rear window have to be ordered separately. A black top for a MY00 Cab is 996 561 915 01 A10 and the rear window is 996 561 111 00. You will also need 993 561 959 00 Slide.

I have only seen them do this once but it was a very involve replacement procedure where they stretch the top on the car (for several hours) - then seal in the new plastic using a special device to hold the window in the frame and (I believe heats it) until it is sealed.
