  1. George,

Thanks - I have a lot folks (and manuals) around me with lots of help.

P0102 is consistent with an open circuit or short to ground with the signal from the mass air flow sensor (MAF).

5525 is a Porsche only code that says it is getting inconsistent readings from the DME as to engine load.

msindi is likely right that it is something your tuner has done in the chipping. A simple test would be to revert back to a standard DME and see if the faults stay gone.

  2. I am stumped on this one.  Why would the trunk release not work without power.  I thought the trunk release was a cable system not electrical.

By the way, if you remove the side parking lamp housing from the bumper you may be able to see the cable and pull it. That is where I saw mine when I changed form orange to clear markers.

As of MY01 all Carrera's, TT's, etc. have electric releases. The emergency cable still exists though.

  3. Please be more specific - cover for what?

    Do you have a picture?

    As it says above ;)

It is really helpful if you list:

    · Model year

    · Body Style (i.e. C2 Coupe, C4 Cab, C4S Cab, etc.)

    · Transmission type (i.e. 6 speed or Tiptronic)

    · Interior color (when relevant)

  4. Yes.

IMHO - If the only thing you get out of PCA is the monthly magazine (Panorama) it is well worth it. Check out some of the articles here

Also, if you want to do club racing, autocross, driver education or driving tours most regions have a variety to choose from. I have never regretted my $42 per year - even when it was $30 per year
