BE0780
Serial Number X 9010538
You did not read the Lost Radio Code FAQ
"Which radios fitted to Porsche can have their unlock code recovered through serial number?
- CR-220/CDR-220 - Becker
- CR-210/CDR-210 - Becker
- Traffic Pro NAV/CD - Becker" -
Before the 17 digit VIN numbers there was little information that could be gleaned from the VIN. Sorry.

Have you used a Porsche specific scanner to get fault codes?
If so, please list them here.

You might want to check that your Durametric is up to date with revisions. Also, it could be a bug in the software - but the only way to tell might be using a PIWIS tester.

Trying to get my pcm code for my 2000 carrera 911
From the Lost Radio Code FAQ...
"Can you give me a code for my PCM?
These units are manufactured jointly by Siemens and Becker, and the only place where you can get the codes required is from the dealer/OPC. The PCM’s require two codes, the ICS/Siemens code, and a Becker code. The ICS is the first code requested.
Sorry, the only place you can get a PCM code is from a dealer/OPC." -
Many times control unit issues can be fixed by re- programming that module. If that does not work then a new control unit will need to be installed and programmed to your car.

Thanks for your help Loren, it's the control unit. I replaced it and problem is fixed.
-
Pretty much the brake switch and control unit.
Assuming there are no shorts to ground it is likely the issue is in the control unit. Many times control unit issues can be fixed by re- programming that module. If that does not work then a new control unit will need to be installed and programmed to your car.

The first thing I think is to make sure it is the stop light or tail light or fog light.
-
I would make sure it's not the fog light, also a bad headlight switch could also cause the issue.
