  1. Loren's post in Seeking clarification on P1128/1130 was marked as the answer
They did not post the second page that goes with that for DME 7.2 - there are both descriptions for "Above" and "Below" limits.
DME 5.2.2 defines it as I explained above -- so in DME 7.2 and later those faults can mean either.
The "other" requirement to look at is whether there are any other (emission) faults or pending faults.
  2. Loren's post in 997TT "Turbo S" Badge Placement was marked as the answer
There are no instructions for "Turbo S" currently available from Porsche.
You should be able to adjust these instructions for the "Turbo" to work.

Position the logo -Turbo- with the dimensions -A and C- → Dimension: 92 mm and -B- → Dimension: 36 mm-1 mm on the rear lid and stick it on.
  3. Loren's post in Two lighting questions was marked as the answer
    1. D2S is correct. Always use your owners manual chart not manufacturers guides. If you do not have an owners manual you can download one here.
    2. Are you sure you put the wires on the switch back in their correct places?

  4. Loren's post in Heated Seats was marked as the answer
I would pull fuse A6 - just to be safe.
  5. Loren's post in Instrument cluster? was marked as the answer
Just make sure that all the connectors are protected and not touching chassis - be as brief as possible.
  6. Loren's post in Tequipment roll bar in a 996 Cab? was marked as the answer
There were two Tequioment rollbars - one for coupe and one for cabriolet.
    996-580-981-00 for coupes
    996-580-984-00 for cabriolets
See if you can find a Porsche logo and part number.
  7. Loren's post in Windstop was marked as the answer
Yes, it appears that the parts from the 996 series are a direct upgrade to 997-1 series. (i.e. if a part for a 996 series broke you would get 997 parts).
  8. Loren's post in Cleaning the MAF sensor was marked as the answer
You only good "sensor only" cleaning spray. Do not touch the sensor with cloth or fingers - let it dry naturally. Wait 30 minutes or so before starting the car to allow it to completely dry.
  9. Loren's post in plastic tubing in Battery area was marked as the answer
That is the battery vent - in the Pelican photo it looks like it just fell into the photo.
If your battery is vented (and 99% are) you need to hook that up so charging gases go outside the car.
  10. Loren's post in How much pressure to test coolant tank and cap? was marked as the answer
For the coolant system the manual recommends 18.85 PSI.
    For the cap:
    1. The pressure relief valve opens at an excess pressure of approx. 20.3 PSI; the pressure then slowly decreases again, and the valve closes at 14.5 PSI. If the pressure decreases further, replace the cap. 2. If the test pressure of step 1 is maintained, test step 2. Apply excess pressure to the pressure relief valve of step 1 by pumping rapidly. The pressure relief valve of step 2 must open at an excess pressure of approx 26 PSI. If the valve does not open, replace the cap.
  11. Loren's post in How to open the throttle plate to clean the throttle body was marked as the answer
I just use a (gloved) finger to push it open and hold it (ignition off).
That has always worked for me.
  12. Loren's post in Strange voltage regulator behavior... was marked as the answer
It should be on the right side - unless a previous owner moved it.

  15. Loren's post in Does Anyone Know What this Is? was marked as the answer
Not likely - it needs to be put back in it's holder (usually a grommet I think to hold it in place).
It measures air temperature so if the sensor is touching metal - then it gets wrong readings.

  18. Loren's post in Help! Water, Oil and Fuel Indicator issue after battery/instrument was marked as the answer
    :welcome:
The most common problem is that the connectors on the instrument cluster are not fully seated and snapped (locked) in place.
The would be the first place I would look.

  24. Loren's post in Spin On Oil Filter Adapter was marked as the answer
I'm not sure those LN kits work on 996TT/GT2 or GT3.
Best check with them as it is a very different filter mount from the normally aspirated engines.
