  1. had to replace mine recently, easy to do and cheap part. check the little balljoints on the arm are moving freely, mine had seized and caused the break, so had to replace it also.
  2. no its the steel ring that slides down over the strut body for the bottom of the spring to sit on. Actually the diameter of the strut is 50mm so the ring has a slightly larger ID.
  3. ID 50mm OD 80mm in case anyone cares :) jacked it up took wheel off and measured it.
  4. Hi all, just wondering if someone could give me exact dimensions of the steel ring in this pic? I dont really want to remove and strip my strut just to measure it. ID/OD and thickness would be awesome if someone had one sitting around (bilstein unit). Thanks from Ireland :)
