  1. I had what I thought was a simular problem and I noticed that cleaning the radiators kept it closer to the "8" than before. They are in a bad spot as far as collecting leaves and debris between them and the condensers.
  2. Can you enable and disable the airbag for child seat in a boxster with Durametric
  3. I will do that today. That is a simple and cheap way to rule out something not to mention it can't hurt. Who ever had this car before me did not take care of it. I have been fixing a lot of little stupid things that should have been done when it happened. I do have to apologize to wvicary. I did a lot of research on the crankshaft sensor and that could be the cause of my hot start issue. Thank you for putting that idea back into my brain. [emoji2] Looks like I have some work to do. I will keep you all updated.
  4. I am driving it on a daily basis right now. Its running about 30 to 40 degrees outside during the day and I have no issues. However we recently had a warm front come through that took us up to 60+ and it would not start when I stopped for a duration over an hour without some help from me using the gas peddle. If I stop for about 30 minutes or less, I'm good. Last year I found a trick to get from A to B and then back to A. If I pump the gas peddle when I start it and can get it at or above 2000 RPM and don't let it drop below 1500 RPM for about 2-3 minutes, then let it drop back to an idle, it will stay running at an idle. Other wise it starts and then dies just as fast as it started or if I don't run it long enough and let it go back to idle, it dies. I have checked on the crankshaft position sensor and checked with a local Porsche mechanic and he was just as puzzled as I am now and didn't think the sensor had anything to do with it or it would do it when its cold outside. But this is the reason for me putting it on here, I am at a loss right now as to what it could be.
  5. I dont need info for the P0410 code, unless it is causing my hot start issues?
  6. I bought my 99 Boxster Trip a little over a year ago during late fall of that year. I noticed when summer hit the car would not restart after reaching temperature when it got to be about 60 degrees out. I have done a lot of research on this and some say its the Charcoal box and other various ideas. I have checked the box and the electronic valve on top and both are in good working condition. It almost acts like it is vapor locking, which as far as I am aware, that is impossible. I have searched this forum for hours with no avail. Any advise would re-leave some anxiety of the up coming warm weather. Thank you in advance. P.S. - I have the notorious P1411 and P0410 codes that I am still diagnosing.
