  1. Recently, I just noticed that my remote key fob would not work properly after couple days if I don't drive my car. The light on the fob turns on while I press the Lock/unlock button but nothing happened. It will work fine after I insert the key into the keyhole(or ignition) and lock or unlock it one time. Car is MY03. Anyone has this kind of problem? Any suggestion or anything I should check? I don't know if the key will generate some random code and has an expiration date..... <_< I guess the milk in my frig has longer shelf life.......
  2. If there is no better deal, you may want to try Suncoast for $312.5 http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/merchant..._Code=POTE996WW I think if you wait patiently, eBay is till your best bet.
  3. Poursha, Can you briefly describe what the "Famous Streak" is? Or some pix of it? Thanks !
  4. Do they still sell this coffee mug? I should put one on my desk.....
  5. I read some posts in other forums about some dealers may refuse the warranty if not using the Porsche factory SSK. Does anyone in Bay Area talk to any dealer on this issue? thanks.
  6. Is the locking plate comes with the B&M SS kit? How much do they charge the installation at Akkurat ? Thanks. Jimmy
  7. I used to put the "Black Bra" on my old cars, but I am sick and tired of those "Ugly" things. I now have the 3M "Clear Bra" installed on my C4S(including Headlights and side mirrors). Those traditional bra won't cover your headlights. I believe it is a good investment on your P-car if you can find it in Australia. Could it be the reason that they are "invisible" so you won't even notice it? Here are some pics while the "Clear Bra" was installing. I got the same installers referred by Kirby.
  8. I went to Claridge's Porsche today and asked the service advisor -- Kimo, about this recall. He did not if there is any recall but he did called the PCNA (?). After input the VIN, it said there is no open recall on my '03 C4S......... Do I need to do something or worry about this recall issue?
  9. Thank you, Kirby. The tint looks really nice on your car. Does your Ceramic tint have that kind of mirror-like reflectivity like those they put on Lexus SUV(rear)? I heard about they do the window tint a store in Mountain View called "California ........(I can't remember)". They take off the widnows and put it on. They claim by doing this way, it is a better job and you can roll the window down right after you get your car back without waiting for overnight or days to fully cured. Is this a good way? Jimmy
  10. I think the weather in CA will be getting warmer..... B) Any recommendation(store/specialist) for window tint? Can anyone tell me the regulations in CA? How dark I can go? I saw the tint on Lexus RX330(factory), they have some kind of reflection from certain angle, like a miror..... what are those tint? Thank you for the advise.
  11. Jeff, I can offer several for your video shot if you need. Just wondering when the "Work on Cars Day" will be? I don't know if I can wait for too long.... RUF pedals Aluminum Hand break lever Door sills Console Spoiler switch .........
  12. Can anyone share your experience(good or bad) with the Porsche Service Dept. around S.F. Bay Area? There are so many Service Depts around here, but which one is the better bet? Price, Quality of job, courtesy..... and whom should talk to in the dept.? The only one I have been to is Claridge in Fremont(nearby and on my way to work) so I have no comparison. Is it possible that this forum can create some reviews area for this kind of input for all the members? I think this kind of info will be very useful for a Porsche Owner. Thanks.
  13. On other post, some people experienced the "Automatic Central Door Locking" function is not working correctly after the mod. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=709 have you got the same problem?
  14. Any one has idea why the Porsche manufactory puts different brands of tires on their cars(even the same model)? Production time different? Regional issue? or because I pay less? <_<
  15. Just ordered the RUF pedals from Andrew at Weissach. $399 and FREE SHIPPING(4 pieces) :clapping: Thank you, Kevin. Your name is valuable ! :)
  16. I noticed the tires they put on P-cars are different, even those come from factory. I have seen Continental, Dunlop, Michelin(if I remember it correct....) The tries on my C4S are Pirelli P-Zero. Are they good? Or others are better? So, anyone knows about whether the different tires have different performance or noise? Which one is quieter or better performance? You are welcome to let me know what your tires are and how are they doing on your P-car.
  17. Thank you very much. The quote I got was from Andrew Sampson($399 + $20 shipping). I got to ask him for the "FREE SHIPPING" I will talk to him one more time and mention your name ($20 value) :) Please keep me posted if you find any good deal on any other stuff.
  18. Any place(or website) where I can check out the Weltmeister and Cargraphic pedals ?
  19. I have the same feeling, too. :( But I still want to have the aluminum look of my pedals...... Does anyone have some tips for error-proof drilling for a dumb man?
  20. Hi, I got the quote from Weissach for the RUF pedals. $299 USD + $100 USD(Footrest) + $20 USD(shipping) = $410 USD And I also got the quote from Carnewal for $290 EURO(shipping included) = $375 USD. Look like just small difference. Do you think it is worthy for extra $35 to get RUF mark? I never seen any of those pedals. Can someone tell me if they are identical except the "RUF" mark? If you were me, which one you will go for?
  21. I use Griot's "Best of Show", and "Speed Shine" for my car. It looks pretty good, but I have no chance to try others......
  22. IS there any website or phone number to Foreign Affair Motorsports ?
  23. I have heard about some "Experts" can work on it and make it almost disappear.... without repainting the whole bumper. Any one have idea where to find this kind of "Experts" ? Please help !!! :(
  24. Wahaha..... :clapping: :D I got this passenger mirror tilt down function working !!! (maybe I should not laugh right now since I just found 2 scratches on my rear bumper....... :( ) Anyway, Andrew, if you have not yet pestered your dealership, try the following steps: 1. Switch ignition on (you don't need to start the engine) 2. VERY IMPORTANT ! Shift to "REVERSE" gear 3. Store your memory seat (keep pressing M and press 1 or 2) Now you should get it working ! I have struggled to make this function working for almost one hour..... finally get it worked !!!
  25. I must confess that I am always very very VERY careful with the car....... but, I don't know why 2 scratches just appear on the rear bumper today...... :( :( :( Can some one tell me what I should do or suggest some thing I can make it go away.......
