I have a 2003 911 C4 with 18” x 8” front with 52mm offset and 18” x 10” rear with 65mm offset. Will a replacement wheel 18” x 8.5” 45mm and 18” x 10.5” 55mm work? Street only.
I recently had my front bearings replaced. Do I need to have the alignment re-done?
I am trying to replace a broken grommet that holds the top portion of the Tension Rope on a 2003 911 cabrio. It has snapped at top of the Tension Rope. It appears to be removable and replaced with a new bolt. It also joins the roof frame at a pivot point. Please help@!
Do the stock Porsche wheels have markings for the width stamped on them? I want to replace them with aftermarket wheels.
I need to change the turn signal lamp. When I insert the tool to release the assembly, it will not turn. Any ideas as to why the mechanism won't turn, and how to remove the assembly?
machster posted a topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)Recently, When i release the Clutch Pedal I get a snap at the very top of the release. Basically, just before I take my foot off the pedal I feel the pedal pop back. It has never done that before. Anyone else experience this? feels like something is catching then releasing at the very end of the travel.
I have had good success using BrakeMotive. They are a seller on Ebay. I purchase their drilled and slotted rotors. Many of their options include pads. I prefer to buy just the rotors and purchase better pads like Pagid or others. Most metallic pads will produce dust. Ceramic pads don't, but do not have the best stopping power. I used the rotors on my 911 and my Boxster with excellent results. Here is an example. http://www.ebay.com/itm/350mm-FRONT-DRILLED-AND-SLOTTED-BRAKE-ROTORS-CERAMIC-PADS-2003-2010-Cayenne-/391322850683?fits=Year%3A2005%7CModel%3ACayenne&hash=item5b1ca8d57b:g:wN8AAOSwGotWiqMO&vxp=mtr
Thanks Loren. The dash lights do drop out intermittently when I move the switch. I will get one ordered.
I am having an issue with the Instrument cluster lights not turning on when I turn on the headlights. Sometimes the lights come on immediately, other times they do not light at all. Occasionally, the will also go out. Any ideas?
machster replied to myturbo's topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)Check under the driver seat. My remote top module plugs into the main connector there.
machster replied to blueray0512's topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)Use the Porsche Gear Oil. Call Sunset Imports in Oregon. They are a Porsche Dealership.
machster replied to d_phlat's topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)I was using a flash drive until I got the Iphone 6. It is much easier to select music, and has better feedback. It is difficult to choose music with the flash drive since it thinks it is a CD changer.
