  1. Have you checked all fuses? When I replaced a fuse for a light, I also checked other fuses in the fuse box (the Left & Right of the dashboard. Don't be confused with locations. There are two fuse boxes) http://www.porscheownersmanuals.com/2011-cayenne/4/287 http://www.porscheownersmanuals.com/2011-cayenne/4/288 http://www.porscheownersmanuals.com/2011-cayenne/4/289 By accident, I placed a fuse in a wrong spot. About 30 minutes later (after I finished some other stuff), I just tried to start my Cayenne. ....I experienced the similar symptom that my cayenne didn't start at all. I was panic but I tracked down what I did. I carefully checked one by one and found that one fuse was misplaced. After I put it back to the right spot, all systems were back to normal. What I learned is that a good vehicle can be paralyzed by just one tiny fuse since it's affecting the entire electronic system of the vehicle (=control unit). Check all fuses carefully, one by one. Who knows? One fuse replacement can resolve the big issue. Hopefully all go well.

Both M16 & M14 caliper bolts are torqued down to 200 ftlb from the factory. If the post-factory torque for the rear caliper bolt is 133 ftlb as shown in the table Loren provided, it's about 67 ftlb less than the factory torque. So we can assume that there is a great amount of tolerance on those parts in terms of torques. Hopefully this helps!
  3. @958S I am not sure if you need to replace the bolts or not. As far as I know, there are some glues like Loctite on bolts so it's recommended to replace bolts whenever they are taken out. http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Porsche-Cayenne/16-BRAKES-Front_Brake_Rotor_Replacement/16-BRAKES-Front_Brake_Rotor_Replacement.htm It seems that pre-2011 Cayenne required 200-ftlb for the front caliper bolts as described in the link. If I were you, I would not replace them. There should be an enough tolerance on all parts so more torques won't break or damage the parts. However, it's just my personal opinion so it can't be a recommendation for your case. Except the Porsche dealerships, many mechanics don't even use torque wrench (scary but it's true) and rely on their experience. This means that sometimes they apply torques more or less within a tolerance range. If you take a look the above link, it says that the front caliper bolts are torqued down to 200-ftlb from the factory. Any post-factory torques would be smaller. We can get a hint from the rear caliper bolt factory torque which is also 200-ftlb. If the above bolt sizes are correct, the torques for front and rear should be 104 ftlb (M14 front) and 63 ftlb (M12 rear), respectively. I think that the member 958S needs to verify the caliper bolt sizes.
  5. Hi Loren, Regardless of the torques, the bolt sizes are different from what I received from Suncoast. I researched a little more and found that the caliper bolts are all same for 2011-14 Cayenne Base ~ GTS, i.e., M14 & M12 (No M16). Anyway, I got the torque info from: WM 4X00IN Tightening torques for front axle Technical values No. 3: Threaded connection securing brake caliper to wheel carrier M14 x 1.5 x 115 thread (always replace screws and lock nuts after removal) Tightening torque 140 Nm (104 ftlb.) WM 4X00IN Tightening torques for rear axle Technical values No. 3: Threaded connection securing brake caliper to wheel carrier M12 x 1.5 x 115 thread (always replace screws and lock nuts after removal) Tightening torque 85 Nm (63 ftlb.) If you can text me, I will send you a copy of the manual with diagrams for your review. I think that clarification these torque info would be helpful for all other DIY folks. Thanks!

Since the torques for caliper bolts are extremely important for DIY & safety, clarification is needed. Thanks for your help for all, Loren,
  7. Wow, I am about to replace my rotors but I found this thread. I should make sure that I am doing the right thing for my vehicle. I own 2012 Cayenne Base with 360mm Front Rotors and 330mm Rear Rotors. The torques for each caliper in my manual are: - Front Caliper Bolt Torque for M14x1.5x115: 104 ft-lb - Rear Caliper Bolt Torque for M12x1.5x115: 63 ft-lb It seems that there are big difference between S and Base even though they have the same rotor sizes? (Example) M16 vs M14 (Front) and M14 vs M12 (Rear) Before I ordered the parts through Suncoast, I double checked the caliper sizes with a rep. If they sent the caliper bolts with wrong sizes, I should return them and replace with the new ones, i.e., M16 & M14. Any clarification would be highly appreciated.
