  1. Hello, I managed to spin out and put my 2002 c2 cabrio in the ditch. Everyone is fine, but there is extensive body damage to the side of the car, and the front suspension/tub/radiator is cracked. Body shop said with the car still on the tow that it would probably be not worth repairing (especially because the frame is probably a little bent). However, the drivetrain and interior is unharmed. What do you think my options would be? a) buy a rolling chassis and swap drivetrain. How involved would the job be? California prohibits swapping into a newer chassis, so I would need a 2002 roller (older cars as far as I understand had a non-CAN bus and no variocam?). Boxster would be unfeasible for the same reason. Does anyone know a good recycler for finding clean chassis on the west coast? b) Sell the car for scrap/parts. How much do you reckon I could still extract? Regards, Julian
